"I've had the pleasure of experiencing this hotel both as a local patron of the bar and as a guest for significant personal milestones like my wedding and anniversary. The charm of this place, particularly the bar, keeps us coming back. Natalie, the bartender, deserves a special mention for her exceptional knowledge and customer service. She, along with the rest of the bar staff, makes every visit enjoyable with their friendly and professional service. During our stay over New Year's Eve, I was initially concerned about potential noise, but to my pleasant surprise, our room was a quiet sanctuary. The quality of the mattress, pillows, and towels exceeded our expectations, enhancing our comfort. We opted for parking in a nearby garage, which was more economical compared to the valet service offered by the hotel. One aspect that did catch us off-guard was the "credit card recovery fee" added to our bar tab. While the drinks are already on the pricier side, this additional charge felt unnecessary and somewhat diminished the overall positive experience. It also seemed to affect the atmosphere among the bartenders, who appeared less cheerful than usual, possibly due to feedback from other guests about this fee. Despite this, the hotel's location in Ybor was a highlight, offering a charming small-town feel that added to our enjoyment. Tampa's downtown was easily accessible, but staying in Ybor was the right choice for us. The hotel itself is not only clean and stylish but also staffed by incredibly friendly and accommodating people, making our company function there a big hit. Overall, our experiences have been overwhelmingly positive, and these minor critiques won't deter us from returning. The hotel's unique vibe, excellent service, and prime location make it a standout choice for both locals and visitors."
"My husband and I have stayed here for our wedding and anniversary. However, as locals, we come here a decent bit for the bar. We love coming here for a drink or two. The bartender Natalie is one of our favorite people there. She is so knowledgeable and is always willing to answer our questions about different drinks. She is a big reason we love to go there because she just has great customer service. The other bartenders are polite and wonderful to be served by, as well. We have never had a bad experience there!"
"Top to bottom awesome hotel! Great balcony. Service from the valet to the front desk is great. Pool area is awesome. Refrigerator in room stocked with plenty of stuff if you need it. No microwave. Recommend going here"
"We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. In fact, I warned my son and husband that it would be loud especially because we were there over New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t believe how quiet our room was and how much we liked the room. The mattress, pillows, towels were all very nice. We didn’t use the valet as it seemed really expensive, so we parked our car in the garage across from the surface lot. The garage charges $12 per day. We got drinks at the bar and were a little surprised to see a “credit card recovery fee”. The drinks at the bar are pricey enough, why are they acting like a small town gas station and charging a credit card fee. That is the price of doing business. Also, the bartenders didn’t seem very happy. Maybe everyone yelled at them about the fee. It was only $1.39. Doesn’t seem worth the bad will. We will definitely stay here again. I liked Ybor a lot as it has a nice small town feel. Tampa was also great but I am glad we didn’t stay downtown. I loved this location."
"This is a great option and a good location. The parking situation, you either valet for $35, park at the public parking across the street for $22/night, or park in a parking garage. You can tell this place has been renovated but I feel like with some of the renovations you can tell corners were cut. The shower has no door and the glass doesn't go far enough over, so water splashes out which makes it slippery when you get out, even with the floor towel. We brought our own drinks and couldn't put them in the fridge because it was jam packed with other drinks. There is also no microwave. The balcony is small, but nice. We were on the side where there were no chairs, while not a big deal, it would have been nice. There's a Cafe which is good, and also a restaurant, that we didn't try. You can tell they do a great job with the general upkeep. For the price, this is a great option in the area."
