Reviews of The Bin Spot - Sebring
"I recently purchased some electronic items. You can take the box to the counter and they’ll open them for you to ensure all the pieces are there. It seemed everything was there but when I got home, one item wouldn’t charge at all ($15 wasted) and the other one was missing an inside piece that wouldn’t allow it to charge ($15 wasted). Be cautious with electronic items — there’s a reason someone returned them!! Clothing and footwear would be fine as you can see what you are getting should you choose to purchase something with flaws."
"If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I always try to be respectful at these kinds of places by closing boxes or putting things into boxes because someone might want that item and I know if I wanted it, I would want all the pieces in the box. After finding an item open and pieces all over (was a head set, wires, ear pieces and such) I liked the item and was trying to find and gather all the pieces and put them back into the box. An employee (the owner) came up behind me and told me I can’t open the box. I tried to explain that I was putting pieces back into the box but he wouldn’t let me talk. He said I was lying and that I was opening boxes. Again I tried to explain that the box had already been opened and I was trying to put the pieces back but he still wouldn’t let me speak and told me to leave. At this point I was heated, for 1 he rudely interrupts and won’t let you speak, 2 he called me a liar and 3 told me to leave for trying to explain. So at this point I was heated, I was done. I probably looked crazy because I worked in a prison before as a security guard and I have a sailors tongue. I know I shouldn’t have called him names but it’s almost as though he was there intentionally trying to escalate the situations for no reason. He even called the police and told them I had gotten a knife from my car… crazy. What a psycho. I’m done with this place. The rest of the employees are nice but this guy just pushed me and pushed me to my point. It’s about respect, and this guy was as disrespectful as they come. AND HES THE OWNER! I would just like to add that the lady who left a review after me, doesn’t know what she’s talking about. She obviously didn’t witness anything before hand, she has no idea what was said, she wasn’t with me or around me and she only knows what she witnessed after the owner had already escalated the situation, after I had already tried to be respectful and reasonable. She may have been scared of the situation but I followed the rules fine. The owner decided to create a problem. The owner decided to be disrespectful. The owner asked me to leave before I ever raised my voice. People need to stop pretending as though they know what happened in an interaction based solely on their own narrow views of the end of an interaction."
"It's extremely fun to just look around trying to find an interesting box. It's such a wonderful addition to the area I've been several times now. Just know before you go. Dont open any boxes. It allows everyone to get all the pieces they pay for and everyone to find great deals. You're allowed to take boxes to the table with the employee to make sure everything goes back in its correct box. Nobody wants to buy something without all the parts, so the employees do their best to keep everything intact with every box. Everyone should be able to relate to that. Everything I've purchased has had all the parts and pieces. I appreciate the employees keeping an eye out for those customers opening boxes and potentially ruining the experience for others it's a game and a shopping experience. All in one, it's just a lot of fun for everyone. Unless you open a box, then you're not going to have fun. You won't be allowed to keep playing the game, and your shopping experience ends. Box openers will be the only bad reviews."
"I just wanted to post a review here because I was in the store when both of the below instances occurred. First, the gentleman with the videos IMMEDIATELY went of the defensive and got agitated and escalated things much further than they needed to be. I would like to commend the owner in this situation for keeping such a calm and level head and even making sure everyone was okay. In today's world, I was scared. You don't know what people are capable of and if you get that upset over being asked to obey the rules then I don't feel safe around you. Period. The owner did his job. And made sure to remove the problem. Now for the young woman. Yes, her and the person she was with did get spoken to about not opening boxes. He didn't accuse anyone of stealing, and simply asked them to obey the rules. There is a table where you can take your boxes to be opened and looked in to see but the signs clearly say to not open them at the bin. Basically. If you follow the rules it's a wonderful place and we enjoy it quite a bit!"
"Most of the employees were super sweet but the two guys on the floor were INSUFFERABLE! One of them, I wish I would’ve gotten his name, was one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. The store has a lot of stuff but the rudeness we experienced today is enough for us to not be coming back. It was ridiculous, I hope he gets some home training soon."
