"Really wish we has a better experience at this hotel. It is in the perfect location, being 8min down the road from universal and 12min from sea world. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. This was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. The pictures are old and do not accurately show the conditions of the rooms. The lobby was nice, but the staff were slow and rude at the front desk. On the way to the room the hallways are not clean and was cluttered with trash. There was literally 4 large trash bags completely full that sat in the hallway all weekend long (4 days straight). The towels in the bathroom were stained and didn't look clean. There were roaches crawling all over the bathroom. The only positive was the price point. I would not bring my family here or ever recommend this place to anyone."
"The first room we we're in had roaches crawling all over the floor and ceiling. They're also a lot of simple fixes that were just not done. Rusted hinges on doors, missing outlet covers, toilet paper roll holder missing. It was like not a simple ounce of care was given to the room. The second room we moved to had a leaking toilet. So the floor near the bathroom was constantly wet. The front desk area was nice. The location was very convenient. Overall we won't be coming again."
"DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN'T DEAL WITH FILTH!! It's cheap, and to say you get what you pay for is pretty accurate. I was definitely lured in by the affordable rate while visiting for a weekend convention. Rust and corrosion on every metal surface, including the sprinkler system, holes in the ceiling, dust, dirty lampshades, the whole nine yards. My husband and I were feeling stuffy and had sore throats within an hour of settling into our room because of all the musty air. The only two things that weren't grungy in the room were the bed and the toilet, a small kindness I guess. I've stayed at Red Roof Inns before and they looked nothing like this. This one needs to be shut down (or torn down!) And given a major face lift. Unless you're okay with all these things, definitely spring for somewhere nicer! Plenty of other choices in the area. Renter beware."
"This place is by far the worst I have experienced especially in the tourist area. Considering the price it's still not worth the stay. I spent most of the time in the parking lot or in my car just because I didn't want to be in the room. The room is full of filth, rust mold and probably asbestos who knows. My son has asthma and hasn't had a flair up in forever. As soon as we stepped foot in the place he started coughing and wheezing so bad. At first I had no idea why he was having such a bad reaction. Then I went to check the vents and they were absolutely filthy. I'm not a picky person, but the level of maintenance and care that this hotel needs calls for an immediate shut down and reopening. It's not about looks, it's more so this place is unhealthy and unsafe. This is my my first time writing a review on any hotel but this is by far the worst one I have ever slept in. I really wish I could've done a walk through before I booked, definitely would've saved me the headache, literally. The lobby looks very nice and the rooms are the total opposite, it's such a shame."
"Cockroaches. Smelly. Used q-tips. Bathroom door rusted open. Cracks in the walls. Hard bed. Dirty sheets. This was without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in hotels in rural Guatemala. Everything about this place was nasty—the bed, the sheets, the floors, the shower, the toilet, the sink, the fridge, even the dresser. I found several cockroaches during my stay. There was a used q-tip in the dresser. This place is absolutely disgusting. DO NOT come here, just bite the bullet and pay the extra $20 for the hotel next door. I thought I would get what I payed for. No. You would have to pay me to get me to stay here again. Take a look at the pictures, see if you can win at spot the roach. However, the people at the front desk were pretty nice."
