"I went to the Lake Jackson emergency center this morning after testing positive for Covid, for the first time. Since I had not had it before, I had no idea what to expect. I was seen quickly, but the attitude of the health care worker who saw me was extremely rude and dismissive. I asked for a second test, since I was not sure whether the one I had taken at home had expired or not, and I was told "if you tested positive, you have it." I was also told that Covid now is no worse than the flu. I asked if it was possible to get an antiviral medication, since I work with people who are not vaccinated, and I was told that that was not possible and that I would have to take over-the-counter medications only. I have friends in my age group who have tested positive recently and have taken Paxlovid. But when I mentioned this, I was derisively told that this was not an accepted protocol. I walked out after being treated very badly and will never go back again. I would highly suggest going somewhere else if you have questions or concerns and want to talk to someone who has empathy and respect for the patient. I certainly got neither at this facility!"

"Nurse Janice touchton was very abrupt and short with me as I was explaining my symptoms and showed no hospitality at ll. I have a phobia of hospitals and she made the experience very unpleasant and I will never recommend anyone to go to that location. With her being pregnant you'd think she'd show more compassion specifically in her field. She was rough checking my ears when I stayed that's the Main reason I came for the accessisve tenderness and pain it caused. I eneded up being right about my ear infection and her eo became very narcissistic and she should have been trained bette or just take her leave already. Ridiculous behavior!!"

"It’s dirty. The bathrooms, and front lobby area were dirty. Go elsewhere not because of the service, but the cleanliness. For this place to be an emergency room you’d of course expect for them to be clean. No! Not the case. Again service was great, everyone was nice but I can’t with the filthy facilities."

"I didn’t expect this facility to be so dirty since it’s fairly new. The patient bathroom didn’t have toilet paper or soap. There were flies buzzing around me the entire time in my room. The physician and nurse were both great but the older woman who did my CT scan was incredibly rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Although convenient to where I live, the lack of cleanliness and attitude of the radiologist/tech made for an unpleasant stay."

"I brought my wife, Susan Bell, to this facility after she had a hard fall on concrete as we were leaving a local restaurant. She was processed in quickly by the desk attendant. Once we were in the exam room, I was directed to the tablet kiosk for further check-in processing. The Kiosk was having some issues, and after about three tries, the voice on the other end told me not to worry about it, they had enough to proceed. The medical staff were very professional and caring in their attention. We, my wife and I, were very satisfied with the level of expertise and caring attention she received. Overall, we are very pleased with our visit to HCA Florida Lake Jackson Emergency care facility."
