Front Porch Cafe

"We went here Monday for breakfast/lunch and we sat inside. The space was very cold (three sets of people moved or left the table next to us) and after sitting down and ordering, we waited an hour for our food. No one checked on us or apologized for the wait until we asked how long things would be because we had a flight to catch. Finally, our food came out and was incredibly disappointing. I got a Turkey club and the Turkey felt wet and slimy and the tomato was so mealy I had to remove it. The fries were the only good thing on the plate. My mom got a ham and cheese croissant and she said it was dry and cold. It was pretty much inedible. We asked to pay when our server brought the food because we worried he wouldn't come back. Water glasses went unfilled and my mom had to flag someone down to refill her coffee. While our server did apologize for the wait when he brought the food, no one offered us any kind of discount for the absurd wait time. To say we were disappointed would be a gross understatement."

"We had a great time at Front Porch Cafe on our recent visit. Our reservation (which I would strongly recommend, especially for a weekend brunch) was for noon on a Sunday. I did have to confirm the reservation several times (via text and, the day of, a call) since they were THAT booked—and because the rainy weather meant they would have less seating since they wouldn't be able to seat guests outside. So, reservations are strongly recommended! To start things off, we had a regular coffee and a fancy coffee (that I unfortunately can't find the name of). Both were great (my partner even commented on how good the regular coffee was). Whatever it was, it was warm, chocolatey, caramel-y, topped with whipped cream, and lovely on a cold/rainy day. Our first entree was the Cajun Scramble (Scrambled With Andouille Sausage, Scallions, Onions, Peppers, Pepper Jack) which was interesting and very good. The second was the Crab Cake Benny (2 Eggs Poached, House-Made Crab Cakes, Sauteed Spinach And Hollandaise) and made me very happy. As a side, we ordered the Biscuits with Sausage Gravy, which was absolutely perfect. The menu had so many fantastic choices that we knew we'd find something we'd like, and were certainly correct about that! Would definitely return once I'm back in Miami."

"This was a great stop for a Caesar's Salad $16 and a Happy Hour $9 Mojito. My wife enjoyed the Happy hour ceviche. Everything tasted great and the price was in line with being fairly priced for the area. This would be a place that I will add to my Miami return restaurants. I would also recommend Front Porch Cafe to my friends, family and followers."

"Delicious and such wonderful outdoor seating. The matcha:chia dish was very good and a great size portion. My friend got eggs potato and corn beef hash which also said was very good. Monica at the hostess is great. She helped me pick the seat I wanted and checked to make sure our meal was good upon leaving. Thank you!"
