"Both of my children went in for wisdom, teeth removal. My daughter’s surgery went fine, my sons did not. They had their wisdom teeth removed in the afternoon on the day of the surgery. We were then released to go home on the pain medication prescribed. As we drove home, my son started to state that he was in significant pain, once we arrived home he took another pain medication but it did nothing for his pain and his pain was getting worse by the second, so I called the office. The doctor did not say that the office was shutting down in 40 minutes and instead said to give him double the dose because his body might need it due to his genetics. I specifically asked when I called and spoke with the doctor if we will need to get a different kind of medication filed, the doctor said no. I called 50 minutes later and the office was closed. The only contact number I was given post surgery was an “on call” number… it was the office number. I left 3 messages from 240 PM until 540 PM when I finally brought my son to the ER where he received the correct pain medication and he found immediate relief. I did not receive a callback from the on-call doctor until the next morning at 6 AM! What kind of “on call” service is that?! When he (not Dr. Marshall who did the surgery but a different on call doctor) spoke to me, he shrugged it off as if it was no big deal stating “well I just got the message” HOW IS THAT AN ON CALL DOCTOR?! Fast forward to three weeks later and my son ends up having an abscess from the surgery (I know these are common and not anyone’s fault). The abscess showed up on a Sunday so I took him back to the ER. I called Monday morning to get an appointment with the doctor because of the infection and they got us in Tuesday afternoon. We showed up at 3PM for our 330 PM appointment on Tuesday. They were running so far behind that they still had somebody in front of us at 340 PM. I approached the front desk staff twice asking about the estimated time and the second time she passive aggressively stated “some times doctors run behind” as she proceeded to giggle and shrug her shoulders. At that point I proceeded to tell her how unhappy we were with the care and communication of this facility and left without being seen. I do not think this is appropriate care for a teenager who has never had surgery before. Now he is worried about future surgeries. I must say that the doctor and nurses were all very nice prior to and the day of surgery (but then again I would not have chosen their facility had we been treated like this prior to paying for their services). I will not recommend this company in the future."

"Great experience from consult to after surgery! The staff is friendly and dr Marshall makes you feel comfortable and confident! Had 3 wisdom teeth removed it was very quick and felt no pain. Only one area was swollen and sore afterwards but that tooth was impacted so understandable, and It was easily manageable with the pain meds! even called to check up on me after surgery! Definitely recommend"

"I would recommend people staying away from this place unless they have done their research. Though Dr. Marshall is a good doctor and I really liked him, I decided not to continue treatment due to his office staff. You pay up front and then, once insurance reimburses them, you get a refund. This is fairly normal with most implant places. The difference here is they say will reimburse you but almost a year later, after all insurance has been paid, I have not received the $823.00 due back to me. I have called 7 times. Always they tell me the office manager writes the checks at the end if the month. The latest call, they told me "Wow, it's been that long? I will have the Office Manager call you." Two weeks later, still no call. So, think hard before you go with them. As costly as implants are, I decided to go elsewhere where I'm more hopeful they will refund in a timely manner. No way should ANY client have to wait close to a year to be refunded money they paid. I will be taking further action to remedy the situation, but it should never have to come to that. The 1 star is not for Dr. Marshall (a great doctor) but for his office staff or should I say office manager."

"I am 35 y/o and I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed 4 days ago by Dr. Horne in Fort Walton. I had no pain after surgery and I went back to work on Monday and feel as if nothing ever happened. My wife is shocked at how well I am doing since she had the opposite experience when she had her wisdom teeth removed many years ago in her teens. Great staff, beautiful office and Dr. Horne was amazing. Based off how well I am recovering he is obviously a very talented surgeon. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Horne to anybody who is looking for an oral surgeon."

"What can I say that hasn't already been expressed by so many others — Dr Marshall and the staff at Gulf Coast Facial & Oral Surgery are all amazing! Very friendly, professional yet with warmth & caring for their patients. I had oral surgery with Dr Marshall alittle over three months ago and it was the BEST experience. The costs were comparable to other oral surgeons in the area (too bad Dental Insurance doesn't cover as much as we'd like, but that is no matter what plan anyone has, and I have a premium plan; that's heathcare system in America though). I've had numerous dental procedures throughout my life and the experience I have had with Dr Marshall has surpassed any/all expectations. Yes, there may be a little wait time for an appointment, but believe me — it's completely worth waiting. Highly recommend!! 5/5"
