"I received a phone call from Nurse Vicky (I believe her name is?) after I called to let the office know a medication wasn’t helping and my boyfriend had to go to the ER for gastrointestinal problems. She called me back a few hours later, and she was so rude and unprofessional to me on the phone — essentially snapping at me for saying the office does not return my calls when I call (which they have only once). I explained to her that in order to get my boyfriend’s medication, we had to go to the office since no one would call us back to get it for him. So the nurse snapped at me for seeking further help when it didn’t work and when I explained they do not call back, leaving patients to call voicemail for help. She was so unprofessional, accusatory, condescending, uncaring, and rude. I have never been talked to by a nurse or doctor like that in my life and am appalled any “caretaker” could speak to a patient’s family member in this manner. Any patient going through a difficult and painful time should never be talked to in this manner—the manner in which the nurse called me. I’ve never ended a phone call bawling just because of how a nurse spoke to me. I am not expecting a practice to answer all of my questions immediately when I call, but I do expect them to be kind and professional when they eventually call, hopefully within a more reasonable time frame due to the typical severity of gastrointestinal patients. Not fight with the patient and be extremely rude. The rest of the staff has been kind when we have been to the office and we still haven’t been able to meet Dr. Rosainz yet."
