"Amazing people! Absolutely amazing! They have helped me and my family with relief from chronic migraines, for years now. We drive 90 minutes one way to see them. Unmatched attention to detail and expertise! We love Dr. Dowdy, Dr. Dave, and the whole staff."
"This place was awful. I called to schedule a massage and I provided my insurance information and they told me for it to be covered under my insurance I would have to get set up as a new patient. That involved having to meet with 4 different people who all asked me the same questions and that was before I even got to the x-ray technician. The first person was to be my "case manager". I have no idea why I needed a case manager to get a massage, but I generally let medical professionals do their business. He told me what would be covered during my visit and that the visit would be $200 and it would go toward my deductible. I had already met my deductible for the year so I was expecting to have to pay $20. I received what I believe was about a 15 minute massage. After being examined by a doctor, I then had to see a PA (he was the 5th in the line of questioning, 2nd was the masseuse, 3rd was a medical assistant type). When I asked him why so many people were asking me the same questions he became flustered and mumbled something unintelligible and said he was done with me. Then the x-ray tech had me change into the thinnest hospital gown I have ever seen. I felt so self-conscious and uncomfortable. Finally the bizarre visit was over and I went to check out and was told that I owed $200. I explained that I had met my deductible so I should only have to pay a co-insurance charge. They informed me they were not covered in network so I had to pay the full $200. Why would they not have told me that when I set up the appointment and was asking if it would be covered under insurance? I opted not to pay because I had already verified with my insurance that this place was covered in network. I left and called my insurance once again and verified they were covered. Also, why would I get set up as a new patient so it would be covered under my insurance if it was going to cost significantly more to do it that way when I only wanted a massage in the first place. Later I got a statement showing they had submitted charges over $1000 to my insurance, and I was responsible for the allowed amount of $200. I would like to point out that they currently have a Groupon, for what seems to be the same visit I had (only with a longer massage) for $42 and claims to be a $270 value. How do they justify billing the insurance over $1000 if it is only a $270 value? Ultimately, the insurance is saying the provider they billed under was not covered in network even though the practice "Superior Physical Medicine" was covered and the provider they billed it under wasn't even the one that did the exam (this was the PA who just asked me some questions and then got flustered), but he was not covered in network. There has been no resolution at this time and I am extremely disappointed. I have called multiple times trying to figure out where the confusion is and neither Superior Physical Medicine nor my insurance company can come up with a reasonable solution."
"The chiropractors and nurses at Superior Physical Medicine are the nicest out there!"
"I had a severe bulge of C5 in my neck and had tried everything besides surgery, and chiropractic care. When I started treatment with Dr. Pierce I was a skeptic but decided I had nothing to lose and went in full speed ahead with the care that they mapped out for me. Today, my neck is as healthy as ever, thanks to the treatment I received here and I never even mentioned the word surgery again. I am so thankful that I was introduced to this practice and trusted the plan of action."
