"May 8 2020 - I finally had some down time and got to try this place. It was really good. That bbq sauce was so good. I was not impressed with the green beans only because they had garlic and I am not a garlic clove can a girl. I did eat them after picking out the garlic cloves.. I will only be here for a couple more days and I think that on Saturday night I will go back. Update Jan 21 2024 I finally got back 3 years later and still super yummy."
"Nice people, nice atmosphere, good food. Was on Amelia Island for the weekend and stopped by for dinner. Had a variety of food that was really good. I enjoyed the sliced brisket the most. The BBQ fries were really good with the seasoning. And I enjoyed both the sweet sauce and the tangy sauce flavors. I hate when the sauce doesn't compliment the meat and I was not disappointed. I would definitely go back."
"Connie was horrible and incompetent as her role as the manager on duty Labor Day weekend. The absolute worst experience I have ever encountered. My family and I had thought we would be able to enjoy a meal at Captain Jack's Smokehouse. There was no wait for our party of seven adults and three kids however the 90 minute wait for the meal we never got was ridiculous. These people just could not get it together. Do not order a classic margarita, salad bar was out of items, unsanitary with the ice machine and we were told 20 minutes after placing our orders they ran out of ribeyes. The manager Connie was the ABSOLUTE WORST. No fake positive review after mine can change my mind. It only reinforces my honest review."
"Awesome place for BBQ!! Got the half rack of ribs and sliced brisket - tender, smoky, saucy, and delicious! The sides were equally good, especially the BBQ fries and fried okra. The portions were very generous - enough for me and my wife to eat 2 meals each. It was clean, and our server, Connie, was helpful and delightful! Great experience!"
