"My family and I am greatful for your services being available 24/7. Our puppy golden retriever swallowed a sock after our vet had closed for the day, BluePearl was there to the rescue. They were able to quickly get the sock removed and our happy puppy back to normal. Thank you to all the techs and vets who assisted and were so kind and comforting during our visit. Feel free to keep the sock!"
"Staff was friendly and the doctor was informative. Their scheduling team on the other hand dropped the ball. It was unfortunate that we were not instructed to bring our pup fasted for a much needed sonogram. Thus the premises of our visit. So it was an unnecessary expense of $250.00 for the visit. They should prep their patients prior to the visit especially under such circumstances…we were referred to Pearl by our Vet who informed them of our case."
"Our 6 year old Bulldog Penelope was dxd w/CHF, end stage. She just had a full check up 6 months ago and was fine, out of nowhere she blew up with 15lbs of fluid in a matter of 2 days. I am an RN, and as soon as I got her inside, they took one look at called a made STAT and immediately picked her up and took her back. It was a long wait, just as it is in the human ER, news was grave, but as of today she is still with us. They suggested euthanasia due to the severity. I am also was a Hospice nurse, so I know what to expect, but it still hurts, its still sad and painful. Blue Pearl in Largo FL is a state of the art huge facilty, suoer clean, i liked that and very spacious for dogs on leashes, with many tech hands on deck. The only complaint I have is it was very very cold inside, bring a jacket. Thank you to to the VET who cared kindly for my girl and per my request, didn't sugar coat the news. I will be bringing her son MILO for a full check up to ensure he doesn't have her disease. Thank you Racine & Penelope and her family"
"Very nice staff and extremely clean facility. From one veterinary professional to another, it was nice to be around like minded individuals who care about our pets as much as their own. I wasn’t sure how Dixie would do at another veterinary hospital since she’s used to my clinic but the staff loved her and showed her lots of love and attention. Very knowledgeable doctor and veterinary nurses. Highly recommend!"
"I brought my 3 year old rabbit here 2 nights ago as she was unable to move. They were very cold and handed me paperwork immediately asking if I was willing to pay $1800 for resuscitation if it came to that. I was shocked because i didnt think she was dying but i knew she wasnt well. There are no payment plans and they want payment upfront before treatment. They then explained they didn't know what was wrong with her and if I wanted to find out and treat her, I'd need to pay $4,000+ in advance to find out or pay close to $500 to euthanize her. I like many others do not have $4,000 to spend so I chose euthenasia, and I did not want her to suffer for long. They messed up the euthanasia the first round after injecting her and I noticed it was taking a long time and after looking concerned and walking away to talk to each other they realized they did not have her catheter in properly and had to redo it. So I had to wait for them to redo the catheter in the lobby and come back in a second time for them to get it right and come back in to be with her while she was euthanized. It was very drawn out and I felt awful for my poor girl as I didn't want her suffering so long and also did not want her surrounded by strangers in her last moments. I thought they would take us into a private room to have her euthenized but they kept us in the back with all of the other sick animals and at one point a nurse was struggling with a sick puppy and it was very loud and she was loudly asking for assistance to control him only 10 feet away from us so it was hard to stay focused on keeping my baby comfortable and calm. Not to mention they wouldn't do any of this until I paid in full. When they put her in a box after she passed they also gave me the carrier i brought her in. I had to first bring her carrier outside to the curb and then return in to retrieve her body in the box without any assistance. When waiting in the lobby for her second attempt at euthanasia there were two employees laughing and joking behind the desk while I'm literally sobbing my eyes out. These people and this company do not care about your animals and money is their main priority! Do your research and find another emergency vet!"
