"If I could give this office a o star I would. I have been trying to call and call regarding a referral to no avail. When i go there in person they are always giving excuses, and there are more than 4 people at the Front desk, so there is no excuse just a lack of professionalism, speaking of wish i was getting an EKG test which was a horrible experience as i had to listen to an employee fighting with another one verbally and loud, in the middle of my test which gave me anxiety, and a result of Hypertension Duh! In this day and age one never can be sure if a fight will erupt in violence, and no one stopped the fight while on the test. If you manage to get to the voicemail, good luck getting a call back. I am currently searching for another Neurological office where they show they care about your health. Stay away from this office."
"Visited 3 times to this practice and everytime it got worst. No point in making a prior appointment, because you will be wasting your time. The staff members are clueless or have no regard to your time. They will accept as many as appointments they can and let the patients wait. I had to wait for more than 2 hours past the scheduled appointment time. Then trying to rush the consultation so they can get to the next appointment. Then they prescribes medicine that can only be purchase through their recommended pharmacy (not your local pharmacy). Wonder why that is... and cant help to think they may be getting kick backs from the medicine they prescribe. Overall it is a bad place to go for any treatment. Stay away from this place."
"My mother went to Dr Portillo's office for Parkinson's treatment. She has been going to this office for 3 years. Her most recent visit she was prescribed medication for Parkinson's. We believe the dosage of the medication caused her to fall and faint. This resulted in her hitting the tile floor and EMS had to be called. The hospital ran test to rule out everything else and they questioned the dosage of the Parkinson's medication. Hospital tried to call the doctors office and could not reach the prescribing doctor. We tried to call when she was out of the hospital. We Spoke to a receptionist about the issue and they said a doctor was not available. Did not take information to call back about side effects. This was our experience with this doctors office."
"You can NEVER get through to them on the phone to schedule an appointment or any reason for that matter. Wait times are HOURS long, yes even with an appointment. They literally NEVER answer their phone. They don’t have voicemail, or if they do it’s full and you can’t leave a message. They would NEVER contact my insurance company to approve my prescription. Because they don’t answer their phone I had to go into the office to make them contact my insurance company and of course they still didn’t. This place is awful, stay far away."
"The doctor was very kind as to take me in on short notice. However, he spent about one minute with me and recommended I see a neurosurgeon and that was the last time I’ve seen him. The next time that I went there I saw a person I’m not sure who they were as well as the last time I went same thing no doctor just a nurse practitioner or something. My experience was not great in that they are trying to charge me for a missed appointment when I had someone from their office is calling. Tell me that I did not need to come in and there was so much confusion on whether to go or not go and I went when they told me to go. They also charge me $121 that I didn’t expect for a visit where I did not even really see the doctor., I saw an assistant for about 30 seconds at best. They asked me if I had any problems and said you’re on your way."
