"West Orange Neprology, Dr. Banji Awosika Review. On my appointment day I received a call asking if they could move my appointment to 12pm instead of 1pm and I confirmed I could accommodate. I arrived for my appointment only to be informed the doctor was not there, and that somebody should’ve called me. He was held up at the hospital. A new appointment was scheduled for 1/25/24 for 10am. I arrived for my appointment on time and checked in. I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes before I approached the receptionist and asked why it was taking so long to see the doctor. The woman replied the doctor got held up with an emergency at the hospital. I was disappointed that nobody informed me So, I asked if they could provide me with an appointment on another day when they knew the doctor was going to be available for the appointment as he already missed two scheduled appointments. They replied, no they couldn’t provide me with a guaranteed appointment. I understand that things happen sometimes but not two appointments in a row. Frustrated that I couldn’t get an appointment where the doctor would actually show up on time. I told them to cancel my appointment and refund my fee for the marijuana card. I’m sorry, perhaps I’m old-school, I make an appointment to see a doctor, they expect me to show up on time and they should too. They shouldn’t expect me to sit there all day until the doctor shows up. In this case I decided to vote with my feet and go someplace else, I cannot recommend this company."

"What is the point of making an appointment, and not being seem until 45mins to a hour later. And I even arrive 10 to 15mins before for checking and payment. Then only to feel rushed with doctor. When you call in and leave a message for the doctor nurse it always calls for an another few phones before you get a someone. Then I have to repeat what I need all over again and again. I was on a medication that was making me drowsy . So I advise my doctor about this about this, there responds was, just stoping taking it. Which you can not do with out going in to cardiac rest or stroke. I had been taking it for over a year, clear instructions. DO NOT JUST STOP THIS MEDICATION. So I had to ween myself off it. And if I didn’t needed it anymore why didn’t you say that before. I bring in all my meds and vitamins at every visit. 540 pills, why was I taking it and buying them if I didn’t need them. Every issue I have with the meds they prescribed, I get the same answer, Oh called your primary doctor about that. So now that a hold another doctor visit. They don’t treat me. Never talk about side effects, never have given me other treatment options. And always, always in a rush. Now I have waited over a hour in the the waiting room and another 30mins in the room. Not even 10mins with the doctor, always make me feel like they are rushing me out the door. Do better guys, we are hurting, and we come to you for help. This is just all business with doctors, you have to see a certain amount of patients in a day/month. This isn’t patient care."

"My Mom had been going here for a few years and liked the Dr., but today was the last time due to inept office staff. Mom hadn't been in a while due to the pandemic. She wanted to keep going here since she like the doctor. I agreed even though I was going to have to do a lot of driving and paying tolls. I made the appointment for her. I explained to the lady on the phone that I was her power of attorney and that she had a new insurance. She took down the membership number and said that they do take that insurance. She asked who her PCP was and I told her. I then request to have that day off work. Well, today I get there and some uncaring woman tells me that they cancelled her appointment. They had called my Mom and left a message. My elderly Mom is too old to be trusted with a phone anymore and she broke the charging port. They didn't call me and didn't record my number when I told them I was her power of attorney and transportation. This woman tries to tell me that I didn't make the appointment, that my Mom did, as if I had dreamt the whole thing! She said that they might be able to squeeze her in, depending on the insurance she had. I hand her the card and she immediately says, yeah that insurance requires PCP authorization. I told her how they should have told me that before when I called and gave them the information, or at least called me back. She was uncaring, acted like it was my fault and had an attitude. What a waste of a day, money, gas and several tolls. At least I won't have to make that drive again, or deal with their poor service."

He's 82 soon to be 83 and he's now off of dialysis, learning to listen to the experts is a very smart move. They know how to take care of you. Thanks Again, and please stay safe out there. G"
