"I’ve been wanting to try this bakery for a while as it’s conveniently located on a high traffic road in Tampa. They have a huge selection of bakery items. Although I did not get to try all of them the few that I did try were delicious. The croissants were buttery, sweet and savory while still keeping it moistness. The coffee smelled delicious and their cakes looked amazing. The staff was very friendly as well and the prices are very affordable!!! Will definitely be back to try more."

"Not much has changed since the new owners took over, food is still delicious and service is good. Not the exactly the same as what it used to be, but pretty close! Glad they didn't let this bakery close and become just a memory for Tampa, we have been patronizing them for about 35 years."

"Great variety of pastries, cookies and cakes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We also tried the beef empanada and devil crab, they were very good. Breakfast sandwich was very good. Great Cafe con leche and the friendliness of the staff was the best part because it’s hard to get good service nowadays. I will definitely be back and recommend people to come check them out."

"This is an old school Tampa legend. New ownership in a historic location. Parking is limited, but rarely a real issue. Lots of different choices for treats, cookies, and sweets. Sandwiches and empanadas for takeaway or eating at tables."

"I've been looking for a decent old school bakery and decided to check out Housewife. I was highly impressed to say the least. The have remodeled the building and the menu is vast. Pastries, cakes, cookies, sandwiches, coffee, and more. Nice and cozy dining room. Didn't have to wait for service. And the baked goods were excellent! I had a creme Berliner and German chocolate cake. I'm only sad that they're so far away from home. Oh well, I'll find an excuse to make the trip again soon."
