"We have worked with SCS and Dr. Lacayo for over 2 years now since my daughter's last acute inpatient stay at Flager. Dr. Lacayo has been beyond instrumental in the treatment of our adult daughter's disease of Bipolar Schizoaffective Disorder. Their office is responsive, knowledgeable, and Dr. Lacayo has gone above and beyond every time to assist our family when in crisis. This means the world to Us as family dealing with a BROKEN mental health care system. Flager and other hospitals dump and run and the staff at SCS help us pick up the pieces and develop a comprehensive outpatient treatment plan. Dr. Lacayo is one of the most experienced in his field of Neurology and Psychiatry which says everything, I am RN and it is so hard to find a physician that not only cares but knows the human brain during acute exacerbations of varying diagnosis. "Doctor Lacayo has been my psychiatrist for about 3 years. Our appointment was short, but he pinpointed the problems I had immediately. He is incredibly intelligent and is careful to only prescribe medicine that is absolutely necessary. His accent is difficult to understand at first, but if you consider having English as a second language a detractor, I think that is more a reflection on you. I do not want to discount the other reviews, but I have never felt unheard, or that I was talking to someone who had anything other than a complete understanding of his field. Any time my meds need to be changed, he listens to the complaints and adjusts accordingly. Dr. Lacayo, quite literally, saved my life. I was in a very bad place when I started seeing him, and the medications and help he has given have changed my every day for the better. I will stay with him as long as he lets me, and I hope this review gets more people to benefit from him."

"ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM OR THIS PLACE! Extremely unprofessional! Had zero respect for me not understanding his language bearer!!! Even stated to me "your ADD ALSO" BECAUSE I asked him a second time what medication was he prescribing my son due to me not understanding him. He would ask questions and when I would TRY TO ANSWER THEM he would rudely dismiss my responses! How do you get help for your child when the doctor your refered to won't even hear you out and listen! My son was even uncomfortable during this appointment! Walked out with no answers and just more medication prescribed! Parents do not come here.!! Total let down... Wish I would have read the reviews before hand!"

"If I could give less than a star rating I would!! This doctor was assigned to my child and the first visit did not go well. He braided my child almost to the point where I thought he was going to falsely have my child Baker Acted during the first session. Then he prescribed about 8 months worth of risperidol to my child under a false diagnosis/pretense of psychosis. My child does NOT need risperdal. My child is currently on Zoloft. And the Zoloft has been working for years now. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Lucayo to be anyones psychologist. All he does is prescribe medication. He is a pill pusher!!!!"
