Reviews of Woof's on Wood Street
"Had an appointment at 11AM. Called at 2PM ,7dogs ahead of him. Went there at 5:30 told he was not started only was washed and feet trimmed Hair was not trimmed was charged $105. Will never go back."
"Dremel wasn't charged properly so we were asked to come back in 20 minutes. We were charged the regular price without any consideration for our inconvenience."
"Please use caution! I have to share an incredibly upsetting experience we just had with my 5 year old yorkie poo, Roxy. I am new to the area, and had been looking for a new groomer for my two small dogs. After doing what I feel was my due diligence , I chose woof. I want to stress that my dogs have been routinely groomed their entire lives. Both are well experienced with groomers. I have always brought them to the groomer every 6 weeks without fail. I have never received any feedback from a technician after a grooming experience that wasn’t positive . Especially pertaining to my little dog Roxy. Who is a fun loving happy-go-lucky 5 year old. The events that transpired at woof have me still speechless. I dropped my “girls” off to this establishment in the morning and went over the service. We were told they’d be ready at the end of the day. Not out of the ordinary. No red flags. As the end of day neared, I went to enter into the shop and was quickly shuffled out and told “oh you can’t come in, you’ll upset the dogs”. Strange, yes, but ok. I dismissed. Just before closing we were able to go in and pick up the dogs. I was told everything was great, no issues. No indication of any issue at all. Great! I collected my two pups and brought them home (about 15 minutes away). Almost immediately I could see there was something very wrong with Roxy. My fun loving happy girl was completely despondent. At first glance I thought well maybe she’s tired from being at the groomer all day. But then I noticed Roxy would not open her eyes!!!! I carefully pet her and looked at her and I could see that she also had a nick on her snout and her eyelashes were shaved off! I called woof to ask what happened. Absolutely horrified at the events unfolding in front of me. I am a late stage cancer patient, my dogs are my entire world. To know that someone had hurt one of my dogs was beyond comprehension. I had left a message stating my concerns. They were closed by the time I had gotten home. Roxy did not improve as the night went on. She still refused to open her eyes and was now also shaking. I called my vet. The vet stated that Roxy had likely experienced some sort of trauma. Either the “neck loop” was too tight or she was kept beneath the dryer too long. They couldn’t say for certain. But they did agree something did happen. And typically when they see a dog with their eyes closed after a grooming session, it’s because of one of these situations. And now the “you can’t come in or you’ll upset the dogs” has me wonder what was happening inside their shop??? Today (monday)the owner finally returns my call. I explain that my dog is still not ok, asking what happened to my dog?!?!?! And she says “well she was difficult “. Ok, NEVER had this dog been anything but a gentle east spirit. I am certain if there was any resistance from my dog, it was in response to an action imposed upon her. And what’s more infuriating is that NOTHING was indicated to me at the time I picked up my girls!! If there were any issue, it should have been told to me at the time I picked up my dog. But no, instead it was never mentioned. And the response I received from her was nothing more than dismissive and uncaring. She kept selling me her resume, instead of even owning to the fact that something had gone wrong!! My poor little dog is still not ok. Her eyes are still not opened all of the way. The nick on her snout has me wonder just what happened and what did they do to my innocent little pup. Why wouldn’t they let us into the shop ??? And shaving her eyelashes? To be certain I had also called my groomer that had cared for my girls before I moved and they said my girls were a piece of cake… Roxy would even give a paw to when it was time for her feet to be done. So I ask, what happened to my dog!!! I never write reviews. But my dogs are my life and I am certain others feel the same about their dogs. I don’t want anyone to experience this sort of horror. I’m not done yet with this matter. And all I can do is pet my little Roxy girl and apologize."
"Very friendly, professional staff. I’m very picky about how my multi-pop is groomed. They do an excellent job! My only complaint is he’s there all day but, he’s never stressed out when I pick him up. I highly recommend!"
"First time experience this week. Easy to schedule an appointment and appreciate the confirmation and reminder messages. Business is clean, fun and very professional. Began with a quick consult since we were new, and checked my contact info to guarantee communication for pick up. Estimated pick up time was good and when I picked up my yorkie she was just lovely. Washed, clipped, ears cleaned, nails and pads trimmed and anal glands checked. She smelled great and had a cute little kerchief on her neck. She was happy and will be sure to book again. Thank you to Woof on Wood Street for a great experience!"
