"I was staying at the Florida Hotel for work and planned on grabbing something from the food court for dinner, but I decided to try this instead and I’m so glad I did!!! It was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, and I love that the small portions allow you to try several different types of rolls. I ate way more sushi than I normally do because everything was just sooo YUMMY!!!"
"Victor was excellent! Such a great experience. Food was awesome and fresh, we didn’t overeat and got to try so many different options. And we didn’t have to tote leftovers all over the mall! Prices were clearly communicated so it was easy to make conveyor belt choices. Thanks, Sushi Yummy!"
"I’m hoping this was a one time issue but I might never be at this mall again to find out. Cute little sushi spot inside the mall that also has a conveyor belt. I went while visiting family in Florida. Food is a little pricey for mall sushi but I figured it would be good. The service wasn’t very good as they barely checked on us and I’m not really sure why there’s a 18% mandatory tip applied to the check when you could potentially just grab food from the conveyor belt. I could barely hear the girl that sat us down and gave us our waters and my family believed she was angry or being passive aggressive the whole time but I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first. It seems like the sushi chef came and took our order anyway. We ordered 2 poke bowls and grabbed 2 plates from the conveyor belt. The spot wasn’t busy but it took at least 15-20 minutes to get our 2 raw sushi bowls. Both orders were taken wrong. They forgot the rice in my sister’s bowl which was an easy fix but I ordered extra protein with spicy tuna and salmon with a salad base and avocado. When I looked at my bowl it was about 90% lettuce with very little spicy tuna and salmon and whatever else I got on it. I mixed the bowl to see if there was more protein under the lettuce but that just made it look more disappointing. There was also mango or pineapple which I did not order in my bowl at all and don’t usually get in general. I took a few bites to see if I would enjoy the bowl with the mango/pineapple and to try the salmon/tuna. I didn’t enjoy it and no one was checking up on us so I had to get another waitress to let the original girl know. When I finally got her to tell her the orders were wrong we fixed my sisters bowl with rice but when I told her my issues she asked if I just wanted a completely new bowl. Not wanting to wait another 15-20 minutes for potentially mostly lettuce I said no thanks, that’s okay and contemplated getting something from the conveyor belt but decided not to. She tossed the old bowl away and my cousins said she seemed passive aggressive/angry doing so. After everyone had finished their food and we were ready to go we had to wait another 15-20 minutes after telling another waitress for someone to come and give us the check and just as I was about to leave cash and dip. I believe it was the chef that came again and he had said he took the 1 poke bowl off the check even though the waitress said I had eaten most of it. I was so shocked and confused to hear this since the waitress had us waiting there forever without checking on us and I had about 3 bites of the 20+ dollar mostly lettuce with pineapple I didn’t order bowl so I have no idea what reality she was in. At this point I was confused, angry, and hungry so for the chef to say that and seem like he did me a favor I felt insulted. I told him what had happened from our side and eventually we realized there was probably a miscommunication between everyone (mostly passive aggressive girl). I paid the check and left to get egg bites from Starbucks. My sister said her bowl was okay and my cousins said they enjoyed their crab meat and seaweed salad from the conveyor belt so I’m sure most of the food is okay. If I go back I’m definitely skipping the poke bowl. This is the first time I’ve felt the need to post a review of a place due to the service. Especially when not being able to adjust the tip where 2/3 of the order was done by an automated conveyor belt. I can only hope the sushi chef receives the full tip."
"I am utterly disappointed in this restaurant. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE! I would just like to tell everyone that it WILL NOT be worth your TIME or MONEY. I am a very patient person and am always kind to the hard working waitresses…but this was just something else. I ate here today with my family, January 9th, and got the passive aggressive girl waitress. She didn’t have much to say and didn’t have the faint of a smile. She hasn’t come back in a while to take our orders, so the chef had to do it instead. Once we ordered, we waited a good 20-25 minutes just for 2 Poke Bowls. 1st off, PRICE ARE RIDICULOUS!! Especially for the quality! The sushi is totally mediocre and the poke bowls are 95% lettuce!!! Furthermore, they got BOTH POKE BOWL ORDERS WRONG!!! The passive aggressive waitress did not handle the situation with any kindness or compassion for her customers, she just threw it out instead of giving more options other than to keep it. This was a surprise to all of us. After our mediocre meal, the passive aggressive waitress told the chef some other story about what happened to the bowl and then talked to us about it!! Like what?!? We explained what actually happened and he said he got 2 different sides of the story. Personally, I do not like that us as customers had to defend ourselves against their own coworkers. While the chef talked to us, they were staring at us, leaning on the walls behind him. It was the janitor girl and the passive aggressive girl. Interesting why they felt the need to witnesses the situation she caused to unfold. Honestly, the chef was really nice, especially given that he didn’t really know what happened in the first place, therefore I don’t see why the waitress wanted to get him involved. All in all, this was too expensive and a very stressful and ultimately a time consuming situation for mediocre food and a passive AGGRESSIVE waitress. I hope the mandatory 18% that AUTOMATICALLY gets added to your check!! goes to the cooks for being the nicest ones there and having to work with some passive AGGRESSIVE waitress. That image of the little sushi I attached, yeah THAT WAS $4.50 for that little piece. Oh! And the little green cup? Yup, that is supposedly a seaweed salad for $4. Maybe for a bird. Be for real."
"the service was good yet I don’t think it was fair for them to automatically add the 18% tip. It’s fuzzy small print on the sign he had to point it out to me because it was so small. Once you realize you’re paying the same price for 4 pieces of subpar sushi as you would pay for a roll at a restaurant, the experience isn’t as pleasant. Might as well spend your hard earned money for better food at the food court."
