"I’ve been suffering from anxiety and depression for more years than I can count. Although I’ve had very limited experience with therapists, I’ve always been extremely skeptical about how simply “talking to someone” could possibly help. My preconceived notions were utter flipped on their head by Dr. Cody. Even during my first visit, Stuart made me feel comfortable and at ease. He took a significant amount of time to explain his approach to treatment, which was most welcomed. Based on my initial intake forms, I believe her sensed that I possess a scientific mind and a decent amount of knowledge in biology, physiology, etc. He spoke with me as a peer in terms that were familiar to me. More importantly, even in a first visit, he brought up nuances and paths of thought that I hadn’t previously considered, and he guided me to look at certain aspects of my life experiences in a myriad different way. I’m proud to say that I’ve already begun making connections and am vehemently looking forward to sharing them soon. Although more visits are warranted, and are on our horizon, I finally feel as if there’s a light at the end of the tunnel now. And I have Stuart’s gentle, inquisitive and innately perceptive nature as an accomplished clinician to begin thanking for it."
