"My father was recently in MMH for COVID. The primary doctors of this group that were my father's doctors were AWFUL with communication. As of today we had not heard from one of the primary care doctors for over 7 days. The nurses can only answer so many questions. Dr. El Masry said he would call us on Friday and we still have not heard from him. This was so disappointing and unprofessional as we were unable to communicate with our father directly. Such a shame that they cannot bother to take 5 minutes and call the family to discuss treatment plans. My father was moved from MMH to rehab yesterday. Not one staff member, case worker or primary care physician from this group called us to let us know he was being moved. Beware... if you are expecting any type of communication find another doctor! The nurse supervisor from MMH had to request the doctors including the infectious disease doctor to call us with no response. Shameful. I hope this doesn't happen to their family members and they get ignored the way we did."

"Highly conscientious and compassionate medical director and attending physician. I met him visiting my brother at the Bradenton Florida Greenbrier Rehab and Nursing facility March 2016, where my brother is hospitalized with possibly late stage terminal neurodegenerative illness. I would be afraid, however, to propose unorthodox treatments to this most diligent and highly trained physician. The most current promising therapy for nerve disorders addressing the endocannabinoid system of the brain, in which cannabis mimics the same molecules, passing into the brain immediately where it does it's magic, is sadly still widely unknown to the medical profession. I cannot fault Dr. El Masry or the neurologists working under him, even if they would be aware of the current research in medical marijuana being done in Israel, Europe and the U.S., since punitive actions by peers, government, and a destroyed reputation are sadly real possibilities. It would take Super-Human courage (how many of us have that?) to reach out against popular myth and prejudice against medical marijuana - even to save a life. However, I was grateful to Dr. El Masry for his clear, illustrative explanations to us of my brother's medical condition, and his awareness of my brother's pain. Dr. El Masry's humanity shines through his deceptively dispassionate professionalism. The Greenbrier staff reflects the quality of this fine man."
