I’ve never had a therapy session before and was anxious about it but she put my mind at ease. "My relationship and marriage was at a crossroads. After talking to Bissan, over the phone, I immediately , felt comfortable with her and thought that she could be the person that would really help me and my husband. She understood us so quickly and knew how to help. Therapists that I had spoken to in the past had taken such a traditional approach, and were so quick to diagnose or prescribe medication. The Hawkins counseling group specifically addressed that a lot of times the trauma goes much deeper and medication can't fix it. It just numbs it. It was the first time a therapist ever took a different approach to helping us not only in our marriage and our relationship, but as individuals.
