Mike was very helpful and responsive and set us up right away on the call I made and we were able to have evaluations done within days. John and Nancy are both superb in addressing the speech and OT needs for our daughter. Most importantly, they are highly invested in her well being and provide a progress report after each session to keep us well informed. They have been supportive and genuine with establishing and following the path to improvement. "Fabulous experience from start to finish!!! My daughter started stuttering after her 10th birthday and she was very self conscious about it. I was looking for a place that my insurance covered and Skill Builders fit the bill. I spoke to Mike and he was beyond helpful. He took the. time to answer all of my questions and listen to my concerns. He was professional, patient and kind and after I described my daughter"s issue, he suggested a therapist he thought would be the best fit for my daughter. Nikki was and is amazing!!!! My daughter was nervous at first but Nikki quickly calmed her fears. It has been over 6 weeks that my daughter has been going to Skill Builders and I have seen a tremendous improvement. Her stuttering is almost gone. Skill builders is a tremendous place with all kinds of therapies. It is a place that puts the child first and the children are treated with love, patience & kindness. "My daughter has been going to Skill Builders for both speech and occupational therapy for about two years. I am so pleased with both of her therapist. I have seen so much growth and progress in her. She started with speech due to deficits with pronouns, which we completely corrected. We now work on her fine motor skills as well as listening comprehension among other things. Our therapists love my daughter and it is evident in how excited she is for her appointment each week! We looked at some of the larger offices around town, but they seemed like factories...not interested in my child specifically, just interested in the payment at the end of each session. Skill Builders is like an extended family, they are on my daughters team and want the best for her. So thankful that we found them!"
