St. Amaro Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center

"The facility is an older building, but that is not what is important. The CARE is! A dear friend came for rehab 5 weeks ago. All the staff has been pleasant and friendly. Did a walk-through with Jessica from admissions initially. She told us to contact her anytime. I have had a couple of questions and did so. She got to the answer even if it wasn't admissions related. I know the reputation a few years ago was not great. But many in the medical field said they were pleased (otherwise we would not have put our friend there)!! If I am visiting and the PT comes he will tell me he will come back, but usually I am ready to leave anyway. She has been taken to her family doctor by their team."

"We have had a loved one in St Amaro receiving PT for over a month. We go to the facility several times a week at different times. We have found everyone—nurses, office staff, all other staff—extremely helpful, attentive, compassionate, and very interactive with their patients. The food is very good, the facility is always clean and the staff arranges activities throughout the day. We always find our relative bathed and shaved. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needs extra care."

"When I got there, they welcome me. The place is clean. The nursing staff is great very professional and try to make you as comfortable as possible. I can’t say enough about them. They’re great the food is very good. The therapy department is very thorough. They know what they’re doing, but I do feel like it should be longer than one hour a day I recommend the nursing home to anybody however, once you leave there is no follow up and I think that should be I’ve sent them cards. I called there a couple times that’s too bad. I think that needs work that’s running my opinion my name is Luke Doyle. Thank you. I will say this it’s worth five stars"
