"I was absolutely traumatized by Hugh Whit Oliver over 6 years ago and I will never forget the experience I had with him. He may change around his/name initials, but he is still the same person that has been traumatizing women for years."
"Dr. Oliver always amazing! Staff at Mahan Oaks location were horrendous but new location at 1801 Hodges Drive are absolutely amazing. Dr. Oliver has been my primary for decades and he is the best doctor to have in Tallahassee hands down! Wouldn't wish to be with any other doctor because he always makes the time to have you seen and makes sure you're always taken care of at the highest standards and quality!"
"The new office staff is ridiculously horrible. Their rude, and don't know what they're actually doing. Some of the staff lack basic work values when it comes to patient interaction. They're just so nonchalant and uncaring. I will definitely be switching him from being my primary physician VERY SOON."
"Had to wait 6mons for my new patient visit and when I finally got there at 3pm the waiting room was so crowded there was no where to sit. I wasn't seen until 5:28 pm. He asked me several questions of cousre for establishment and when told to make an app. I was told someone would call me to set up my nxt app. Never received a call. I called 3 months later on about June 24th said needed a gyno app. Asap very concerned about Candida. Only to be told the 1st available app wouldn't be until August 18th! I told her this couldn't wait she said I would hve to go to urgent care! I'm really disappointed and think his practice should close or stop taking new patients bcuse he seems to already have way too many!"
"PLEASE READ before switching to this office. DR. OLIVER is a brilliant physician, but starting recently he is only there briefly one day a week for his OB patients--NO pediatrician. So the ONLY staff are nurses and the front office, who, I don't think I am exaggerating, are a hot mess. Today my husband took my extremely ill one-year-old in for a 3:00. They arrived on time, but since they were not 20 minutes early they turned her away. She is coughing so hard she is choking, and her face is constantly covered in phlegm no matter how often we wipe it. A mother knows when her child is ill, and just looking at her face I cannot believe they would turn a one-year-old this sick away. My husband missed an important exam in order to be able to take her (this is Mrs. Howell). She was originally scheduled for 1/14; however they canceled on us in a voicemail stating that no one would be in to see her. Today when they spurned my sick child they AGAIN set her up an appointment on the 1/14. They made the SAME mistake! The only reason we haven't taken her to the ER is that we have gone that route before and it has taken 16 hours and they essentially tortured her, cathed her etc, and as a mother I preferred for my daughter to have a familiar setting and familiar faces. The manager today told me to forget about that, these are all old nurses. I believe that because I personally watched the most competent nurse quit on the spot a few months ago as the place got consumed by TMH and started going to hell. Read the other reviews. They will all (mostly) say the same thing: Dr. Oliver is brilliant, but his front office is a hot mess. Now that the place practically IS just the front office, there is no good reason to go there. My midwife spent an hour on the phone trying to teach them how to operate a fax machine so that my daughter could get bloodwork done. Beth, the manager who claims she is the highest supervisor there and that she cannot give me the contact information for any higher supervisor, hung up on me while I was trying to get a next-day appointment set up. When I called back, she said that I had hung up on her! She then told me that I was being too emotional and not calm enough and insisted on talking to my husband. I told her I will fight tigers with my bare hands if I have to to keep my child alive and well and that I refuse to be calm until my infant receives the care and treatment she needs. She then put me on speaker so the whole office could hear me crying. I'm sure they were having a riot. In addition, I NEVER received a single call back when I would be transferred with my worries to the nurses office, and several times WE would have to remind the nurses which shots our child needed caught up on. Otherwise she just would not have got many of them. Another concern I have about the staff is that they all wear long fake nails. Girls, they're not just tacky, they're a germ magnet and a health hazard for children."
