Reviews of Dr. Chris Grevengood, MD
"First visit to this office and this doctor. Absolutely fantastic experience. Wonderful bedside manner. He really listened to me and my concerns. Excellent staff too. He is a keeper for sure. Highly recommended."
"I met him today i am 26 weeks pregnant went in emergency for “kidney stones” . Absolutely LOVED him very straight forward, kind, funny great Dr I even told him I wanted to switch from my current Ob to him , unfortunately I’m in Miami dade he’s up in Naples and comes down for emergencies... bummed !"
"Dr. Grevengood is great! I’m a first time mom and was thrilled when he actually took the time to explain everything on my ultrasound. He definitely helped me feel reassured about my daughters health. 10/10 would recommend!"
"I typically never feel the need to write negative reviews about businesses that I have a less than satisfactory experience with. However, I felt that staying quiet about this one would be a massive disservice to the women that might be using these reviews to decide whether or not they want to visit this office. Dr. Grevengood began our appointment by expressing to me his distaste for yoga (I am a yoga instructor). He then said that he enjoys watching a female yogi on youtube, and that his wife thinks he is a "perv" for it (his words). He explained to me that the yogi was very strong and flexible, and in fact, her body didn't "look much different than mine". Before our appointment began, I let him know that it'd been years since I've gone to a gyno. I thought that this would act as a heads up for him to explain to me everything he was going to do before he did it. However, before the nurse even came into the room, he laid me back and started giving me a breast exam without warning. I was stunned, but wrote it off and didn't say anything. Then the nurse came into the room, and he put the speculum inside me without absolutely any warning. In fact, he was in the middle of conversation with the nurse when he just stuck it in. After a few seconds I said, "What is that? It feels uncomfortable." He said, "it's a speculum, have you never gotten a pap smear?" I explained to him again that I'd only gotten one once, and it was years ago. I had no recollection of how it went, and I also assumed that if anything was going to go on or inside me, I'd be notified beforehand. After this, we had a conversation about birth control. I explained to him that I was hesitant to start birth control, because I was afraid of what it would do to my hormones and mood. He said, "Here's the thing. Women are already crazy. The birth control isn't going to make you any crazier than you already feel." Whoa. I was taken aback to say the least. After all was said and done, Dr. Grevengood took out his phone and started showing me videos of this half-naked yogi that he again, reiterated, had a similar body to mine. Before coming into this office, I had serious reservations about going to a male gyno. However, I reassured myself that there was nothing to worry about-- this is his career and he will be professional about it. Boy, was I proven wrong. The next day I came into work and told my coworker about what had happened. She immediately told me that her sister AND mother both had negative experiences with a male gyno in the area 9 years ago. She texted her sister, and sure enough, it was Dr. Grevengood. Before coming into his office, I looked him up on google. Most of his reviews were positive, and he had 4.3 stars. That's why I am writing this review. If I had read anything similar to this in the first couple of reviews, I never would have gone here. From now on, I will trust my gut and stick with women for these matters."
"Terrible Dr I gave birth to my 3rd child via csection with him. this was the first time i had him as my obgyn, my repeat csection was the worst experience I have ever had and the recovery was soooo painful I have had 2 b4 and 1 after and never felt the pain I did with him , I wanted him to tie my tubes since it was my 3rd csection and he said medicade only pays him $78 if I bring $250 he will do it bad bed side bad bad bad altogether"
