"Our family signed up for 5.5 hours. We had an understanding that our child would do Wednesday theater, POD & gymnastics (twice a month to use the entire 5.5 hours). After participating in the gymnastics class we discovered it was a full class (ages 4-10) & 1 instructor was not going to work for us for many reasons. Younger kids were yelling & screaming & running in & out of the class slamming doors. Not enough instruction with so many distractions & students. During our child’s audition we were very clear she would not be a dancer & miss Marie stated that would not be a problem but when we didn’t have any options for the extra time (1 hour) needed to be made up I informed her to make changes to our invoice & she stated I was receiving a “discount”. Which is not accurate. I was paying full price per her rates at that time. I later discovered she had altered documents to reflect a new rate & deleting communication on Band. As she later on did it again for the show tickets (adding in a deadline to purchase which was not there before she & I spoke). I moved past that but noticed things that were red flags during my stays at the park for children safety. One rainy day 15 mins prior to meeting at the park, she messaged me stating to meet at Ballet Elite. After dropping my daughter off she did not state in a text or on site she would be transporting my child from the facility to the park. Upon my arrival for pickup to my surprise, my daughter nor Miss Marie were anywhere to be found. This caused a panic as any parent could image. It is never ok to transport children without parents permission. In addition, families have not been provided any proof of insurance or identification for vehicle travel or driver license of the person transporting children. In addition, during a rehearsal day at the park, children were scheduled to be at the park on a weekend for 4 + hours & there was no access to the restroom until parents asked the building attendant to allow us access during a wedding reception. It’s not ok to have children eating, drinking & playing at a park for hours with no restroom access. Parents weren’t aware of this. And in regards to the bathroom, Miss Marie is holding programs at a public facility such as the library where there are lots of random individuals on site & she was sending kids to the restrooms alone is an absolute no & that includes the buddy system. So many things can happen between the walk to & from the restroom. Not all parents are ok with that & when caring for kids parents should be informed & as the director it’s miss Marie responsibility to keep our kids safe at all times. Miss Marie’s daughters are not adults & it’s not their responsibility to protect or care for other peoples children. Lastly, the fact that families pay for a service that is not provide is a problem. We registered with 2 hours of academics & received 1 hour. Kids had remaining homework after POD. We got to a point where we no longer sent school work because it wasn’t getting done. That led to us dropping her from POD. The quality we pay does not equate to the services received. The children weren’t prepared for the play. I discovered that rehearsals weren’t happening every Wednesday. Rehearsals should not take place the week of the shows and if there is a change in venues you should definitely schedule another rehearsal. The fact that the play stage looked a mess is unacceptable, families were forced to pay for each show ($20-$25 per person per show), pick up our kids in between shows, and you wanted our kids to show up to “support” cast mates for her financial benefit is not ok. To be honest we felt this entire program was a scam as she continued to alter agreements to her benefit. I would not recommend her program. My child enjoyed herself & that I am grateful for. But as parents we are very disappointed in the lack of professionalism, care, communication & the lack of organization that she presented."

To find a teacher and a class that all my kids, of multiple ages and genders love so much is golden! I’ve seen my kids (and friends’ kids) grow so much, not just in performing abilities, but in confidence as well. We’re so lucky to have found Miss Marie and recommend her wholeheartedly. :)"
