My mom is a little over 60 years old and has had so many disappointing relationships with doctors where she felt never heard and mistreated so many times she stopped going to doctors. Over the years my mom neglected her health for fear of not getting quality treatment. Dr. Birkenhauer broke down the fear my mom carried for so many years and gained her trust in the very first appointment. My mom is so happy and relieved to have a Dr she trusts and feels respected by. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Birkenhauer. Now my mom isn't afraid to go to the Dr. And trusts the treatment she's getting is TOP QUALITY. I highly recommend this Dr. She's not just a great Dr. She's a caring kind person. "This office has gone SO FAR DOWN HILL. I hear Dr. Birkenhauer used to be fabulous. I wish she did the care there but I’ve only had her once for COVID: she noted that she would call be daily to f/u: I never heard from her again. When seen by her other “practitioners” they are NEVER prepared. Don’t have the labs, can’t find results, etc. if in pain they jump to “we can’t give opioids”! Did I ask for opioids?? No….and there are many other options so don’t assume everyone is drug seeking. Lastly, they insist on follow-ups randomly….clearly trying to get more business and $$. I was there three weeks prior and they insist I HAVE TO return. Crazy. Find another practice. This one is terrible."

"Dr. Birkenhauer's straff is incompetent. Every time I need paperwork faxed or labs produced, the staff is unable to do so in a timely manner, or at all. They've called and made me an appointment, and when I showed up, they did not have the paperwork so I was unable to have my appointment they schedule me for. If you want disfunction, miscommunication, and unprofessional staff members than look no further. Do not go to this office full of lazy and malevolent workers."

"I met Dr. B about 20 years ago when she was at another Dr. Office. She was the FIRST Dr. to take my concerns of migraine headaches serious. She walked in and begin to ask me about them. She was and is amazing! When she started her practice I became one of her first patients. I will be with her until either she retires or I die. We travel full time in an RV but ALWAYS come home for checks ups and all our medical needs. We love Dr. B. She will be a great lifetime Dr if you need one. T and M Green"

"I have a new Doctor, so went to make sure I knew where he office was located for my appointment next week. The office is located off Hwy 59, and 25th Street; a very busy area. If you are leaving Foley as I will be doing, I would suggest two additional items. After crossing the Bridge on Hwy 59; Instead of proceeding to 15th St, I would recommend turning left on 20th St, to First St, turn right for a couple blocks, and the office would be on your right at 15th st. Secondly, if you are driving from Foley, give yourself ample time for the trip, because the Gulf of Mexico Beach traffic on Hwy 59, and the Walmart area is very congested. More to follow once my appointment has been completed."
