"WOW! Absolutely incredible. Good German food makes me happy and this place is one of the reasons we drive about 4.5 hours to go to the Fort Walton area every year. The staff is always so friendly and I love that the chef has come out to check on us every time we come. The food is the most delicious German food I've had, each bite is like heaven. I wish i lived closer so i could take my time trying everything on the menu. A definite must if you are in the area!!!!"
"Wonderful very authentic German Bavarian food!!!- I am German descent. As is my husband. We had a wonderful meal and a great server. His name Logan very friendly and he knew the menu quite well, he was able to tell us the daily and nightly specials by memory and even offered to show me a picture of the special on his tablet, which he brought to me a few moments later. The owner Simone is just lovely and came to every table throughout their meal. Ask if everything was fine. : ) We actually conversed a few moments in German, which was good for me to practice again and Simone said "you did great". We ordered kartoffel. (Potato pancakes with sour cream and applesauce) My husband and I each had Schnitzel. I had the Yaeger (mushroom cream gravy) and he had the Krem (horseradish sauce yummy). The side dishes were so good too. We had Potato salad red cabbage sauerkraut and a small salad too. Nonroom.for dessert this trip however we will leave room on our next visit hopefully very soon. Live band on Friday and Saturday nights. Thank.you"
"Was hesitant to try it because I'm not a big sausage or beer fan and to me, that's German Faire. Lol. But I really liked it. The dessert was amazing. I actually liked the beer he got too. The peppercorn bacon gravy reminded me of sawmill gravy. The only thing I would change is less salt in the food. The Edelweiss band was really fun and we enjoyed the music. Reservations are a good idea. It's slow season right now and the restaurant was packed."
"My husband and I visited for the first time. Parking can be tricky, and they share a building with a bar, so it's always good to check if they have a wait. We ordered the sausage sampler and Bier Schnitzel to share. My husband enjoyed everything except the white sausage. I am picky about beer cheese, and did not enjoy the full flavor of beer in this one. My husband liked it, so it's definitely a personal preference. We loved the Apple Steudel!! We did not get refills on our drinks, and our waitress didn't check on us enough to see we needed refills. Other than that we had a pleasant experience."
