If you have been hit by someone insured by Ascendant, best of luck. You are going to need it. I have been dealing with a claim (I was deemed not at fault) for the better part of a year. After they FINALLY responded to me and we got the car in the shop, I rented a car under the information I was given: I was to rent the car, pay for it, and then submit receipts for reimbursements. I asked so many times if they were sure I would be reimbursed. They assured me I would be. I asked how long I would be allowed to rent a car-- they said until the car was out of the shop. This turned out to be a BOLD FACE LIE. I was told reimbursements would be processed within 48 hours. This turned out to be a BOLD FACE LIE (it was months). I was forced to rent a car for 2.5 months.. admittedly, a very long time. During that time I was ghosted several times by Ascendant which caused delays. Only after I had paid for 2.5 months-- $3000-- was I told I would not be reimbursed for 1.5 months. How convenient that only after I had paid out of my own pocket, they denied reimbursement. How convenient that they get to weasel their way out of reimbursing me. Had I not called/emailed...over and over and over and over again I would still, to this day, not have known. I was never told rental coverage had stopped until I called/emailed repeatedly trying to get an update on my reimbursement did they finally tell.. "oh by the way we aren't reimbursing you for all of it." This company is an absolute scam. Read through the other reviews-- there are MANY MANY MORE with very similar stories. Then pop over the Ascendant Claims google review page and there even more! If this has happened to you, PLEASE don't forget to file a claim with Better Business Bureau."
