"I have been a customer for over 13 years. In September, I was creamed from behind which was a bit traumatizing. My van was declared a total loss. I was assigned a total loss adjustor (Sandra) who was not friendly and had zero empathy. She did not "volunteer" any information. She did not let me know that I should submit any repairs for the last year which could increase my valuation, or provide any other tips for increasing by market valuation which I thought was very low. I can only assume that she makes money by paying out as little as possible for the company? I also was not informed that I should contact the DMV to let them know the vehicle was totaled, so I have been paying insurance on a vehicle that I have not had for 2 months. Overall, I did not feel like I was treated like a valued customer. One of the reasons I chose Amica back in 2010 was their reputation for an outstanding claims process. This is not what I experienced. I will be shopping out my policy when my policy expires."

"I called to get a quote for myself and was told by the representative that they could not cover me after being a customer for 7 years. Then, they put me on hold to get authorization from a supervisor. The supervisor must have approved for them to cover me, and then I was told that they were unable to quote me at the time and will call the next day to follow up. As of today, I still have not heard from them. So much for a customer of 7 years."

"Lived in Pennsylvania for years and loved this company. Moved to Florida and my premium price increased 50%. Been with them for over 12 years and never had a claim. Switching to a company that has better rates."

"I’ve been a loyal customer since 2005. I drive a 2011 worth $2800 and my new policy was renewing. It jumped 50% from $990 to $1510 a year. I know rates went up but they’re trying to tell me that in 2021 when a tractor trailer hit and ran me off the road then fled the scene, the claim was settled but has been opened back up. They also told me I have 1point on my DL. I called DMV, not true. This company has been good to me for many years but I have now realized they are SCAMMERS."

Not writing homeowner ins in my state - their customer service is also BAD, repeatedly each day I called - I was told a supervisor would review and someone would call me back within 24 hours , no one ever followed up to resolve or explain."
