"When me and my husband were looking for mortgage insurance we decided to call this allstate office. Angel Johnson was our rep. She has helped us tremendously. From the moment we found our first house she was there every step of the way. We didn't close on our fist house due to fire a week before closing. So we had to wait till we found another house. Not only was she very supportive she was patient. She had all of the documents ready and sent to our brokers before they were needed. She gave me the best rates and she answered all my questions and concerns immediately."
"Plenty of mistakes as mentioned in a previous review. Plus there is no customer service with this group. Return phone calls - forget it! You'll have to call numerous times before you get their attention. They were notified via email that the homeowners insurance company they placed ua with needed a photo of our pool. Unbeknownst to us when they didn't get it, they emailed Bednark again and cancelled our policy. We were without insurance for 3 mos and didn't even know it! We learned of the cancellation when a notice came in from our MORTGAGE company ... prompting us to go to local office the morning after to see how / why this happened. They checked and yes, they did get the emails but didn't see them until that moment. We hardly received an apology. They reissued the policy and simply blamed it on the poor email system of the insurance company. We've had to call a few times for other problems related to mistakes in processing our policy, and they simply do not return phone calls until the second or third call. Most recently, we called and left a message to cancel the policy on 1/4/17. Mortgage company called looking for reimbursement so we call Bednark again 1/16/17 and left another message Helen returns the call this time saying we needed to sign a cancellation form. It took two weeks for them to share this info? We like to do business locally and patronize small businesses and live in Safety Harbor ... but we can't recommend this company."
"I have been with this agency for 15 years and have insured 2 housed and 3 cars, all at the same time. Somehow, my homeowners policy changed to be "not primary residence", even though we filled out and submitted all the paperwork on time. We have lived here 12 years. Our mortgage holder demanded $800+ to cover the "shortfall in our cushion" and even though we did not understand this, we paid. My wife, when reviewing the policy, found the error and after lots of phone calls, the Agent's office staff admitted that "a refund check was sent to the lender a week ago". When we called the lender, they don't have the refund, either electronically or by paper check. I then call this agent's office and spoke to a young lady who became very defensive when I asked, "Why did you send the refund to the lender?" The response was "Well I didn't do it!" When you work for a company and that name is on the door, you are the company as far as the public is concerned. Still no answer as to where the refund is. I will be changing Allstate agents - don't use this one if you have a problem or need an answer about something."
