"In January 2015 we signed our 7 year old daughter up for the 2 week trial at Sensei Ruocco IMAA Mixed Martial Arts. She wasn't too sure whether she'd like it or not so we convinced her to try it out and if she didn't like it she didn't have to continue. By the end of the first class our daughter came off of the mat with a smile from ear to ear and said "I LOVE IT!" and has been going ever since. She has gained so much confidence and has really taken to the sport well. She is a total girly-girl at home but when she steps onto that mat, she's a "Samurai" and loves every minute of it! =0) Within a few short weeks my husband and I soon realize that IMAA was just the place we had been searching for to get into shape ourselves. Not only are the instructors phenomenal with the kids, they are so motivating for the adults as well. All of them are world class teachers and truly care about their students. Each has their own teaching style, and you'll never walk out of there feeling as though you didn't get a great work out. The system itself is really fun and great for reducing stress, as well as getting into great shape. Some people might feel nervous or unsure before their first class, but they all end up loving it and come back again and again. Age isn't a factor either; I have met and worked with other students that range from teenagers to mid 40's and 70's who train and love every minute of it. As far as self defense goes, you know a system really works when your head instructor trains in Japan every 2 years and bring always back the best of the best!! In just over 6 months, both my husband and I have lost 45 lbs each, just by going to class and making small changes to our diets.When we first signed up, Sensei told us that this would be the best thing we ever did for ourselves, and we couldn't agree more! We love IMAA and couldn't imagine our life without it!! Thank you Sensei Ruocco, thank you IMAA team!!"
