Chung's Kung Fu and Tai Chi Academy

"Went to check out this academy cos I heard good things and the reviews made it seem like a cool place to learn. Left feeling creeped out. Dude in charge paid an unhealthy amount of attention to younger female students and seemed a little obsessive. He has obviously been into kung fu for a long time and seemed to know his stuff, but it seemed like he was just going thru the motions as a way to hit on students young enough to be his kids. The lady assistant seemed way more authentic and adept at running things. However boss seemed to undermine her authority, relegated her to menial tasks, and openly disrespected her in front of everyone present. Whole experience made me totally uncomfortable. I can only imagine how much worse he makes female students feel."

"My name is Josette and I’ve been a Tai Chi student with Sifu for the past three years. I moved here from Pennsylvania where I studied the martial arts for almost 30 years and earned my Third Level Black. Belt in Tae Kwon Do. When I came to Florida I went on the Internet to find a “teacher”, not Tae Kwon Do, but Tai Chi. There were many schools to choose from and I made some phone calls but only one school really caught my attention . The Chung Kung Fu website was so humble with just a picture of Sifu and his teacher. I knew this would be the one. I spoke with Aimara and she welcomed me to my first class. Immediately I knew this was right for me and after listening to Sifu lecture after meditation, I knew I had found a true Teacher. My life was not easy here in Florida but consistently attending classes with Sifu, I was able to accept the challenges presented to me and persevere with a greater understanding of self. I’m moving back to Pennsylvania this week with a heavy heart because I can’t physically take class with Sifu but his spirit and energy will be with me always.
