"Like any of you that is reading this review, we are trying to make a decision on which martial art school is the best fit. Allow me to highlight what this academy is and what it is not. This academy is serious, no nonsense martial art school. Every belt is earned through hard work, perseverance, determination, and a lot of sweat. You or your kids will not get tested just because you attend a certain number of classes as there is no trophy for participation. You have to put in effort to learn the technique and do it correctly before you are eligible for testing. For students that does not do well in the test, there is no belt promotion. They will be helped to further polish their technique until the next belt test. The students are trained to perform well consistently instead of just getting it right a few times. What attracted me to In Wan Kim’s Martial Art in the first place is actual the slogan on the website that says, ”No Day Care Service, Just Martial Art”. That tells me that I am getting the real deal. It takes me around 40 minutes to get to the academy, and I do it 3 times a week. It worth every bit of my time and fuel driving 4 hrs each week just to be trained under In Wan Kim’s Martial Art Academy. As for my story, I just wanted to stay healthy by exercising. Going to the gym and jogging does not appeal to me as it is the same repeating motion. I find martial art to be the right fit, as it provides physical exercise, mental sharpness and the ability to protect and defense oneself. The different techniques and knowing the reason behind each movement has kept it interesting and stimulating. Give the free trial lesson a try. It may be a good fit for you."

"My son Joe started taking Taekwondo when he was in elementary school. At the time, the martial arts school was owned by a different instructor. When Master Kim purchased the school, he inherited my son as a budding teenager with all the attitude and energy that can come with that age. Joe was working toward his black belt testing and I am very glad that Master Kim took over his training at that point. It took several months longer than Joe had initially expected to prepare for his black belt testing, but he was so much better prepared because Master Kim got him to work harder than he ever had before.
