Reviews of West Florida Eye
"Last time I went there Dr A was great, I remember having trouble getting anyone to call me back after leaving a few messages. I need another appointment and have been left hanging again. Will be going somewhere else."
"I took my 6yr old daughter there after her pediatrician recommended she needed to get her eyes check. Everyone there was so polite and caring. They put her needs first and made her feel so comfortable with what they needed to do. They made jokes with her and made her laugh and were very friendly."
"Let me start off by saying I thought Dr. Azizi was personable and great with my 5yr old son... once I was told he needed glasses I was ok with that- but the person doing the glasses didn’t explain ANYTHING to me- I said I never had glasses and didn’t know anything other than that my sons eyes were super sensitive so I needed the transitions. I also provided my own frame as they didn’t have any children’s. I also asked about scratch resistance. She told me everything would be almost $200 (that’s using my own frames AND with insurance). Being I was clueless about eyeglasses I went with what they recommended. Well about 3 months after his appt he got a deep scratch on them (he’s EXCELLENT with his glasses, never fall off his face or lays them lenses side down) at school. I call them and ask them about the warranty and they said since his appt was just past the 90 day warranty (I foolishly assumed for a young child’s glasses they would be a year warranty since no one said it was only 3 months!) they wouldn’t replace the one lense or refund! I was like well he didn’t get his glasses until weeks later so how come the warranty is from his appt and not when we picked up the lenses?!?! So $200 down the drain for glasses which another optometrist who looked at them said they were plastic CRAPPY lenses and that’s why they scratched so easily... and I provided my own frames. Oh and the transition part didn’t get much darker than a slight shade. I complained but stupidly kept them because my son needed glasses really bad. I’ll NEVER go back to this place no matter how much I liked the doctor. We went to America’s best, got sturdy kid frames, scratch resistance lenses AND transitions that actually get dark AND A ONE YEAR COMPLETE REPLACEMENT WARRENTY for the same price. Complete rip offs. Oh and they wanted me to pay a copay just to see if the lenses were the correct ones for his eyes a week after wearing them! Who does that?!?! Never again."
"Nov/2016, at the 2814 Lee Blvd location: My last eyeglasses place (America's Best- should be called 'worst') was only a few months ago, where the Dr. spent maybe 8-10 whole seconds w/me, and of course my lenses, mol $200, were not good, nor did they respond to my complaints.. and since my scrip was inaccurate, I couldn't even use it to order anything online). So I take my chances here w/Dr Azizi @ West Florida Eye, and had, much to my relief, a completely opposite experience. The front staff were efficient, friendly and eager to please, help, answer any questions. The waiting time was not that long, during which, an extremely lovely optician helped me to pick out the perfect frames. Dr. Azizi was clearly a genuine and caring professional and person, and his exam was thorough. When I was done, my frames already picked out, I was out the door! I did pause to grab a lens cleaner, (alcohol free and lifetime free refills for $5 to clean and for anti-glare. Who could refuse? I emphatically recommend this Eye Doctor, Dr. Azizi, and his entire team."
"I emailed on Feb 18 to ask some new patient questions, but never got a response. When a practice doesn't reply for over a month, how can I trust that they're organized enough to handle insurance, etc.?"
