"I have no idea how good or bad the Dr is, as I find being ill, called for an appointment, every time they are scheduling 3-4 months out. The staff however I have found to be completely incompetent and have zero work ethic. The menu to automate things is ridiculous. Prescription refills? Leave us all the information and we won’t ever bother getting back to you. I have had this dr. as my PCP for 2 years and have never met or spoken with him. My patient Portal says otherwise. Medicare Fraud? If the Dr is good and maybe he is, don’t bother, he already can’t see the patients he has."
"I recently had an accident and had a complete tear of my Distal Tendon on my left arm. Dr Buelvas was completely booked but was able to reach out via FaceTime to diagnose and see what I was dealing with. He made sure I was scheduled for surgery right away and made sure everything was handled in a timely manner. I appreciated his care and quick action with everything. I highly recommend Dr. Buelvas for any family. He also doesn’t shuffle you out out after your scheduled visit is over especially if he has more to tell or listen to you."
"If I could give a zero that would be my score. I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness in Dec. In Dec I was prescribed medication for my illness but immediately stopped after one day because I had an allergic reaction. Reached out to Dr. B and Nurse Naruta's team about the reaction and have stopped taking the medications. Until now no one has returned my call regarding these medications. Now, I've been asking since Jan 3rd for an rx to get a monitoring device for my illness and still the doctor has not written my script despite my specialist highly recommend I get one as soon as possible. I'm not just a new patient, I've been a patient of Dr. B since 2017. I was upfront with him that I want a PCP that will be there for me for any of my health needs. He was, but now he hasn't been. Last year, when I had breathing issues, they're office did not even bother to give me my test results which took about a week to get for some reason. I ended up going to an urgent care just to be diagnose same day with a severe case of upper respiratory infection and it wouldn't have gotten that bad if I just got seen earlier. I couldn't walk from my bedroom to my living room without feeling out of breath. Also just to add the front desk team is ridiculous as well. Last time I went in December for an annual physical. The front desk asked if I had traveled in the past 30 days, and I said yes. She clicked the wrong button in their system. Then when their office manager came to help she asked me, "so you've had a positive COVID test the past 30 days?" I said no. Front desk person proceeds to say, "but you said yes". I corrected her and said, you asked if I had travelled not if I've had a positive COVID test. Front desk and office manager proceeds to accuse me of mishearing the question, when the front desk person clearly asked me the wrong question and I corrected her. If you had asked me 3 years ago if I'd recommend Dr. B and his team, I would say 100% yes. But now, I can't in good conscience recommend anyone there. You will not get the care you deserve. No one will call you back. They will price gouge you with every visit. When you need help you will get busy tone and days and days of voicemails. If you have the AdventHealth app and use your care advocate, the office and Dr. B's team isn't even answering them. My care advocate has escalated my medication allergy with them since December. They've also escalated my Rx for this January. Still not word. I'm switching PCPs. You're better off getting quality care from an urgent care and it's easier to schedule with an urgent care than it is at this office."
"I made an appointment with Dr. Buelvas nearly 5 months ago for a Primary Care. I waited patiently for my appointment. Received my confirmation text the day before and all. I went for my appointment only to have the guy in reception say he couldn’t find my appointment. I mentioned the text confirmation and he said MY PHONE NUMBER was under a different patient name who had the appointment. Is this a joke? Waiting months for an appointment so they treat you so poorly? Elizabeth the administrative could care less about the situation. There were a couple in the waiting room saying they’re appointment was cancelled and they were waiting for 1 and a half hour for a prescription because the printer was not working. Its sad to think Dr. Buelvas may be a good practitioner with such a horrible staff and administration. I know I’ll get the same resolution as all previous bad ratings here, to write to Advent Health :) but just want others to know what to expect."
"The Doctor is great, IF you ever get a chance to see him as his clinical office is TERRIBLE at taking and returning calls, even when we leave a message that we need help before things become an emergency. Multiple messages left over 4 workdays so far and still no return calls. Home healthcare and Advent health care advocates can't get them to do anything either, leaving us, for all intent and purposes, without a primary care doctor, battling brain infection with ER the only way to get pain medications or chance at additional rehab referral."
