Reviews of Dr. Michelle Scargle
"Dr. Scargle listens to the patient and works with you to make any change easier. I trust her as a person too because she doesn't just change meds and move on like a lot of Psychiatrists do. Friendly, happy, calm, intelligent, knowledgeable."
"I'm a little late with this review. My partner was treated by Dr Scargle. Caring, compassionate, to name a few. She explains in layman's terms so that you understand the diagnosis and her plan for care. I am now a caregiver seeking a psychiatrist. I thought of her and felt compelled to review, even late"
"She was a great psychiatrist for six years. The best. I trusted her completely. But now I'm having financial issues and she dropped me as a patient. I called asking for an emergency appointment when I was having a meltdown, which I've never done before. I tried explaining my situation to the receptionist and how I was in extreme crisis mode, I could barely think or talk. I begged for an appointment. She said nothing was available and asked if I needed refills on my meds. That is something I needed to see the doctor for so I said yes and I'd call back about trying to get an appointment. I finally got in to see the doctor and I was in very bad shape but she was completely different than she'd ever been on previous visits. She scolded me for asking for refills without an appointment, which her secretary must have misunderstood. She didn't care that I was in a horrible mental state, she told me I couldn't afford to see her enough so I had to find a new psychiatrist. I could have worked this out but she was obviously not interested in helping me anymore. She did not help me in my worst crisis and she terminated me as a patient. I paid $125 and drove an hour just to be treated like garbage and dismissed. I have not been able to find anyone accepting new patients yet, and I definitely will never trust any psychiatrist again. So if you have money she'll treat you great."
"Definitely the best psychiatrist I’ve ever seen. Not only is she incredibly kind and thorough, but she knows about natural supplements and how they help with depression and anxiety. I’ve never met a more helpful and genuinely caring doctor. Keep in mind, you may have to wait for your appointment, I waited an hour for my appointment as a new patient. If you’re impatient, aim for morning appointments, but she is absolutely worth the wait!"
"I have been to a great deal of doctors and psychiatrists, there are very few amazing ones especially in the latter vocation. She genuinely cares, she will work with you to get the medication or treatment you need but is always cognizant of risk management by never prescribing a patient something they shouldn't be. I would classify most psychiatrists I have been to as anti-depressant pill mills: one can get an appointment in a matter of a Day(s) and after 5 minutes with an assistant you are diagnosed with something that likely isn't accurate and they just keep prescribing you more anti-depressants and anti-psychotics if your issue is not resolved. Dr. Scargle on the other hand typically requires a 3 month wait to get your initial visit, if you are even accepted, and she will listen closely and work with you to get where you need to be with her kind ear and medical knowledge in conjunction with other forms of treatment. After a few months with her I feel better than I have in a decade. If you have mental health needs and get an appointment you should consider yourself lucky."
