"I contacted Demitra Saravanos to schedule an appointment as she came highly recommended from a friend. We spoke at length regarding my needs for therapy and she confirmed an appointment with me. I was very excited to meet with her and shared many personal details with her on our first phone call. The following day, she sends me a very short email passing me on to some state funded therapist that I have already seen and provided ZERO help to me or my family. All of this I mentioned in our phone call......so why would she send me to the people who couldn't help me in the first place..... We discussed her hourly fee, how often we would meet, and I told her I was happy to pay out of pocket as I was certain she did not take insurance. She also did not even call me to discuss this - sent an email! As a therapist you would think they would understand the vulnerable state their clients could potentially be in when making these appointments - and find a better way to go about passing off their clients that she already committed to. I would never recommend her to anyone as I think the way she handled this was completely unprofessional!!!!"
