Reviews of Behavioral Health Associates
"10/10 would recommend this place to someone needing help. I've had interaction in one form or another with almost all of the staff and have never had a negative encounter. The front office lady, Ana, is a gem. She's always patient, warm, friendly and professional. I've recommended this agency to family and friends and I've only ever been told how great the experience was. I've personally worked with Jim and he's an excellent therapist. He never fails to validate how you feel or acknowledge what you're struggling with, but also offers helpful tips to deal with things and help you reassess your own thinking to get a different perspective. Bottom line, I highly recommend this agency and thank all the staff for their selfless work."
"Front desk male with an accent is extremely unprofessional. Tried to schedule an appointment for my immediate family member in crisis and was told he cannot help me that they need to take the first step themselves and call that I’m enabling them by calling for them. Not everyone’s first step looks the same, some individuals do not like to be perceived as weak especially military individuals/ Vets. So when they say they will go schedule the appointment and the actual receptionist tells you no. They should be ashamed of themselves. Support systems are vital. Extremely important, they are key in many health care situations and if you are working in the health care profession you should know that. The receptionist should not work there. I advise others to go to a therapist office where they are cared for as a human being the second the phone is answered."
"I was just rudely dropped for similar reasons as discussed here with by others. While Ron is a nice guy, the way I was treated by his staff was geared more toward their bottom line and not my well-being. I should have looked here on google before I spent any money. Ron isn’t a very effective therapist either but I was giving him the opportunity to see where it would lead. But because I had to cancel a couple times due to vacations and getting Covid, I was not deemed important enough to continue. I guess we will never know if he could have helped me or not. I even spoke to him directly to voice my concern and all he did was state policy. No genuine concern to help. My recommendation to anyone looking... go elsewhere."
"Made an appointment with ronnie Evans (I had wanted to schedual with another therapist by they had me schedualed only with him), and was told to fill out an intake form before the appointment. I had, but when the time came I was never called for a telehealth appointment. 30 minutes later I call them. Left a message. When they picked up another hour later they said they did not have my intake form and preceded to be very rude. "You didnt do it right" or "did we say to do that" in an annoyed tone when all i did was complete the info they sent and was trying to figure out the issue. Not at all proper attitude or decorum for mental health work. So I had to miss my therapy appointment because they apparently lost my paperwork, then tried to turn it around on me, and they'll probably charge me for a late cancellation fee too even though they had misplaced my paperwork Do not recommend"
"Made a phone call appointment with Dr Evans during my lunch break at work. Had canceled my previous appointments due to being in between jobs, moving homes, and dealing with family health issues. Finally was stable enough to make an appointment, time comes for my appointment and I waited for half an hour with no calls from anyone to my phone. Decided to call the office to reschedule because I had already used up most of my lunch break waiting for this appointment. Just to be told that i was a “no show” and I cannot reschedule until i pay the fee. I confirmed my appointment over email. Waited on my lunch break to be contacted for this appointment and never received a call. I am absolutely not giving this company my money for being a “no show” to a phone call appointment that I was waiting for with no contact from anyone from the office. Lady on the phone told me I canceled my last few appointments and the Dr noted in my appointment not to allow me to reschedule this appointment until I pay the no show fee. I DID NOT EVEN GET A PHONE CALL!! I gave the doctor thirty minutes before I called the office to find out what’s going on with my appointment. I gave you thirty minutes because I understand, some times doctors run behind or run late. Was I supposed to be impatient and call as soon as I did not receive a call from the doctor exactly at my appointment time? My apologies for giving you the benefit of the doubt. No longer interested in rescheduling or receiving any type of care from this facility and their careless doctors. Thanks"
