"We recently moved and had to leave this office… I’m so sad to report that. My son saw dr. Owsik until he was about 6 months. She’s absolutely amazing, empathetic and doesn’t hesitate to offer education to reassure parents and patients. Not only was she thorough with my son, she also checked on me during his visits. I suffered from severe PPD AND PPA and she always made sure to take her time to explain questions and concerns I had while recognizing my struggle as a new mother. I can’t express my gratitude enough for her. We also saw one or two other providers on weekends as we had frequent visits during my sons first few weeks of life due to a medical concern and they were also very friendly and helpful. The desk staff and techs were also so friendly and helpful to my family. Definitely recommend. I’ll miss them greatly!"

"I had a really bad experience with First Choice Pediatrics and wanted to let other parents know to stay away from that office. I took my kids there once but even one visit caused a lot of frustration and made me to look for a different pediatric. Before the first appointment, I made sure to fill out all requested forms online so I could be available for my young kids while waiting for the doctor. After I checked in, the front desk gave me the whole bunch of forms to be filled out, many of which were the repetition of what I had already filled out online. During the appointment the nurse took the wrong measurements of my son and doctor even acknowledged it but did nothing to correct it. One of my children had a condition that required a referral for a specialist and I was very specific about how important it was. Initially the doctor issued the referral, however prior to the scheduled specialist appointment, I found out that the referral was suspended until I call the office. When I did, I was told that the referral was on hold until they receive a confirmation from the specialist that monitored my child before we moved to Orlando. When I asked why it was necessary, the answer was because we cannot take a parent’s word. This was the first time a doctor questioned the need for the referral! I would understand more if they asked for an additional confirmation during the office visit but they had to play this «show us the proof you need the referral» game with me. In addition to the above incompetence, they also managed put the wrong DOB so I had issues picking up my prescription. Whenever I called the customer service, the standard wait time was between 20 to 40 minutes which is outrageous! Save yourself time and frustration, stay away from First Choice Pediatrics Alafaya. You cannot trust your kids to a place that managed to screw up pretty much in every area after just one visit."

"Telling me to come 10mins early for a 1:30 app and knowing it’s your lunch is so DUMB. And to make it worse they LOCK the door. Are you guys aware you are not the only ones working and have things to get done? Schedule appointments around your lunch time if it’s that important and stop having people waiting outside a locked door like we’re begging for our kids to be seen!! This isn’t the first time they schedule my appointment for this time with no other availability, so annoying!!"
