"Love the drs and its clean and quick to be seen however one of the woman who answers the phones is so snippy and rude every time I call. It makes me want to change pediatricians."
"I called to set up my daughter a new patient appointment the lady took all my information just to ask me “are you willing to let your kid get vaccinated if we require it” and I told her “No ma’am because why would you require it?” She gave no answer and disconnected the call. Extremely disrespectful."
"I used to love taking my son to this doctors office. They were super nice. But today was just ridiculous. I had an appointment at 8:50am and I completely forgot. I called the Office as any responsible parent or person would do. (btw you never get the office it goes straight to the operator and if you need to speak with someone you would have to ask to be transferred.) I informed the operator that I was running late. the operator asked me about how long I would be? I said that I would maybe be 3 to 5 minutes late. (this was at 8:56am when I called.) The operator said that would be fine. I arrived at the pediatrics office at 9:03am just 3 minuets after the originally stated 3 to 5 minutes. there was a parent at the window. I knew that I was going to be even later that what I originally stated but I couldn't very well push this woman out of the way. so I waited for her to finish at the window. By the time this woman was done I got to the window at about 9:07am. the assistant at the window informed me that there was something wrong with my mobile check in that i would have to do it again. I told her that it was no problem. as I sat down and got comfortable I was called back to the window. Where the assistant says " there are two new patient walk- ins and we need to reschedule your appointment." when I heard that I just started to get so upset. I kept my composure because I wasn't going to make a scene in front of the other parents and there children. so i took the appointment and called the operator back to let them know what happened. I spoke to the same operator that said it was alright to come in. after I had explained what happened, the operator told me to hold on while she called the doctors office. when she got back she told me that I had just gotten there it was well over the time that I had given her. I proceeded to tell her that it wasn't true. and that i had an appointment and I should take priority as an established patient. she kept saying that I was late and she wanted to argue with me. So i informed her to please cancel my appointment that I will be fining a new provider. She then just hung up on me. They were so rude and wrong for what they did. I do not recommend. also if you decide not to give your child certain vaccines they will drop you as a patient. Also when I stated to see this pediatric office I noticed that there were a lot of new people. I don't think they can keep there good employees happy. Heed my warnings ya'll do not take your kids here."
"I would recommend ANY family to this practice. The office staff has always gone above and beyond. The practice is owned by a couple that send surveys and are open to know how us parents/caregivers are being taken care of as well as the patients. They accept walk-ins, have after hours including every weekend. Yes, the weekend hours are in the Lake City office but they do try to make sure "their" families have a place to turn even WHEN children are sick AFTER "office hours". Which as a parent/caregiver of a child will most likely experience at some point."
"My daughter had been going to the Starke location for less than a year now. We didn’t have any issues, a couple of long waits and she never saw the same doctor. I think that might be what led to a major miscommunication on their part. She is in need of speech therapy and in August they told me they would refer her. Six weeks later I asked and they said it had not happened but that their referral person quit that day so someone would call Early Steps for me directly. I heard nothing so I called and asked again for her to be referred. Then I get two phone calls from two different speech centers, none of them Early Steps. I called back to say they told me about Early steps in the beginning, and it seemed like a good fit so could I specifically be referred there. Now this is January. I get a call from the referral for all offices, she says she sent it in and to give them a few weeks to process. Finally, after calling Early Steps and not connecting with anyone, I reached out to the regional resource person for Early steps in my county. She connects me to someone and turns out, no referral on record for my daughter! I do not normally make bad reviews, but watching my daughter struggle to voice her thoughts, and knowing she would be further along if I didn’t have to chase down all this myself, makes me upset. We will be switching to a different pediatrician, that I hope will have better communication skills and organization."
