Dr. Larisa Meleks, DO

"I called office to schedule new patient appointment to see Dr. Meleks multiple times a day for 3 days in a row and could not get a hold of anybody to schedule. Automated message just asks you to leave your message. Finally left voicemail requesting appointment. Got a call back next day saying to be seen you had to go in the office to fill out paperwork and sign medical release form for them to get your health records from previous provider. After they get those records sent, doctor has to review it first before they can give you appointment. This is really a first one for me! HOW INCONVENIENT!!! How many days do you have to wait before you can actually get appointment and be seen. I have never heard any medical office do that. You schedule appointment and provide personal information, insurance …. Medical history is usually filled out when you come in or ahead of time if they send you forms electronically. This doctor apparently also needs to review your previous health records before she decides if she wants to see you or not. Wow! This is crazy! No thank you! I feel bad for patients that have a medical condition or sick and need to be seen. You can even talk to a person for days to schedule appointment and then wait who knows for how long before they can give you one."

"I have been going to Dr. Meleks for over three years. I chose her as my primary care physician because she is a DO and I tend to receive better care and information from these Doctors. She listens to my concerns. She does not 'force' shots, vaccines, or drugs on me since she knows how I feel about holistic medicine and blind prescribing. I work with her suggestions on controlling my weight and naturally dealing with blood pressure and cholesterol issues and she respects my choices. Her nurse, Josie, is a treasure and any follow up information or test results I need comes quickly and with common sense explanations. The girls in the office are busy and I'm sure they are under stress but I have never had an issue with them and they have never been anything other than respectful to me. If you take charge of your health and work to keep it optimal and do what is needed to get it there, you will find Dr. Meleks to be a great partner in that journey. If you expect miracles and instant gratification, you've come to the wrong place and you might want to re-examine your own motives...Be prepared when you see the doctor. Write down what is on your mind and present it. The only thing I worry about is IF and when Dr. Meleks looks to retire because I don't want to lose her."

"I have never experienced a more primitive doctors office. The Doctor is ok but the staff is a completely different animal. The office hours are not the best for working individuals. Because I need monthly medications which are controlled it is even more of a challenge. The sister office is even worse. The staff there are unprofessional, rude, and are not very helpful at all. I provided my license to the receptionsist for my script and even with the license in her hand gave me someone else's presicription. But this doesnt surprise me considering that the office manager is the worst out of the whole bunch. She has an excuse for everything. Never once accepting responsibility or even apologinzing for the mistakes her staff has made on numerous occasions. Not only does she not accept responsibility but dismiss's and rolls her eyes alot. Very unprofessional."

"I have been going to Dr. Meleks for a few years now and feel comfortable knowing that she is familiar with my medical history and in tune with my concerns. Personally I have not had a problem with staff but also understand that the office is busy and gets crazy at times. My main concern is that I am treated fairly and with kindness and respect as I am by Dr. Meleks."

"Horrible staff and patient treatment!!! Unprofessional, rude, condescending, and confrontational !!! Always an argument with With the front desk ! Greta gets enjoyment over making every an " issue" , she is so nasty ! The doctor is irritable and heaven forbid you ask her to repeat herself. STAY AWAY from this office!!!"
