"I called Dr.Pruitt for the 1st time on 1/11 after I went to a 9 month well check for my daughter at a different office and was threatened that CPS would be called because my daughter is petite and I declined formula (she is meeting all of her milestones) . Looking for a more Holistic Dr. That would actually try to help me try to get my daughter to put on some weight (with healthy fats and while still providing Breastmilk) I called this office. They didn’t accept my insurance and I clarified numerous time that I would self pay. They had Me fill out paperwork so She could become a new patient. They asked for medical records and I went back and forth with them for two weeks. Today they finally received records and refused care because “she’s not meeting her milestones or gained weight .” And because “Since she has insurance you cant do self pay” According to the office manager Brittany it’s policy from the insurance or whatever arbitrary rules they’ve created. I clarified with my insurance and I can pay for any care I want and would not create issues. I know you this is not true because I’ve paid out of pocket for plenty of Dr’s and specialist in order to see the provider I wanted without the red tape or insurance. So Let me get this right you think a child may have a problem you could help with and your are going to refuse care? Where are your Ethics? I also felt lied too because why didn’t they say all this to me before I spent two weeks going back and forth with their office and the passed office over one page of medical records. Do not recommend. They offered no empathy or help given our situation."
