"Although this is a facility for children with "Unique Abilities" my child with "unique abilities" was denied access due to his low test scores. Ms.Patty and her staff never advised that my child could potentially be denied enrollment due to not meeting testing requirements. Pathways for Life Academy charged me $150 and advised me they did not have the appropriate teacher to student ratio to assist my child with Unique Abilities to complete enrollment into their facility. Overall I wouldn't want my son to be apart of an educational facility that obviously does not have the means to teach my son, but why charge me $150 fee knowing my child would not be able to be serviced. The lack of communication and the fact that it was insinuated as if the test was for placement vs acceptance was completely dishonest. It is a sad day when you are denied service from a school that assist children with disabilities and they keep the money knowing they would not be able to assist my child with exceptional needs from the start."

"So application fees for students that you're not able to accommodate are non refundable??? Ok, I get it. It states that in your disclosures....however you should have never accepted the application. You knew at the meeting that you couldn't accommodate Ahmirs' needs. I find it interesting that you suggested another school at the meeting that I attended with my daughter and disabled grandson. (I even pointed it out to her) You accepted all of the information on the student and the application fee, then decide you're not able to accept a student after testing? Sad! I'm sure you know this could become an issue if every school followed this process... which we have found is NOT the case. As the mother of a child with a disability.... you should be ashamed. So unless you have money to throw away on application fees for your loved one with a disability ... try checking out a school that has a different process."
