"I wanted to take the time out to share our experience with Dr. Merchant Jr. at Merchant Pediatrics. Firstly, I want to mention that I am an extremely meticulous person, especially when it comes to my children and their care. I cannot rave enough about the amazing care that was provided to my son at his recent sick visit. The staff at the front desk were friendly and accommodating. The nursing staff were attentive and supportive and the care provided by Dr. Merchant Jr. was AMAZING and absolutely PATIENT CENTERED! Dr. Merchant Jr. took his time to listen to my sons history and medical complaint, answered any questions we had and involved us in the plan of care. Assessment/evaluation was thorough. NEVER had we had a pediatrician take his time during a visit the way he did. Not only were we impressed with his care during the visit, but we were flabbergasted when he took his time to follow up after hours and address an issue with the prescription never getting to the pharmacy at 10:30 pm of that same day after the visit. He then followed up the next morning and called the prescription in to make sure that our son received his medication to initiate treatment right away. Coming from a parents point of view and a health care provider myself, I highly recommend this practice. I drive all the way from Poinciana because I can trust them with our children. If there’s any question that we may have over their care, we can contact him personally and that alone is truly comforting. The empathy displayed and genuine care provided was priceless. Our main priority when selecting a provider is being able to trust the providers knowledge, patient safety, and communication. He matched all 3.
