Reviews of Normarie Albino MD
"Our children have been patients here for 15 years. Dr. Albino is always so attentive and remembers so much! She remembers our children’s medical and personal history better than we do sometimes. She helped us get our son diagnosed when no one else could. She is a phenomenal doctor. You may wait sometimes to see her but she will never rush you. She’ll spend the time needed with you and your child."
"Both of my sons see Dr. Albino and Dr. Amanda. They are both so sweet and patient with them, especially my youngest who can be very high strung. They care about making sure they’re comfortable and that every visit is positive. There are times where we are waiting a bit but we plan and expect this, knowing that once we’re seen they will take their time to listen and discuss. We never feel rushed!"
"I couldn’t love Dr. Albino more! I was so scared choosing a pediatrician. I can not say enough good things about this doctor and her staff. My daughter is almost two and we have been going since she was born. As a nervous first time mom she helped me with so many things. She was able to catch my daughter’s hip dysplasia as an infant and we were immediately able to treat it. She is just amazing with kids and incredible with her knowledge and treatment. When choosing a pediatrician you are trusting them with your child’s life, and Dr. Albino is the best."
"We have been taking our two daughters aged 2 and 7 to Dr Albino for a few years now. My wife was so fond of her that when we considered moving to a different area, she insisted we stay close enough tostill have Dr Albino as our pediatrician. When or 2 year old daughter was born, we found out she has Down Syndrome. Dr Albino called us that week and told us that she was going to be there for our daughter every step of the way, and how she was committed to being someone we could trust to have our daughters best interest at heart. This call made us feel that we had chosen the right pediatrician. In light of our most recent experience with her, those words were absolutely untrue, and that we were just another source of income. If our daughters best interests were at heart, this review would be different. At our last meeting with an ENT, I was asked how many times she had a certain diagnosis within the last 6 months as well as the past year. Being confused as to why this wasn't provided by Dr Albino I made my best guess. Based on the amount I said, the specialist recommended that she have a surgical procedure done. When I left, being concerned that maybe my timeline, or amount of times she had symptoms was off, I wanted to check her medical history to confirm, that surgery was the best option. I didn't want her getting a surgery at 2 years old based on what was a pure guess of frequency of symptoms. My wife contacted Dr Albino's office to request our daughters medical history. I decided it was in our best interest to create a spreadsheet of every date and condition that she had so we would be able to answer with certainty any question specialists in the futire would need. Feeling frustrated that this info should have been provided with the referral, we still liked Dr Albino very much, and figured this would solve the one little issue we had with the situation. I would be better prepared to answer questions of her medical history with accuracy, so the recommendations of the various specialists would be based on accurate information. We scheduled a follow up appointment with Dr Albino to go over the results of the various tests and determine the next steps for our daughter. Close to a month had passed since we requested the medical records and were a week away from our appointment. I calles Dr Albino's office to ask when we could expect to get the records. I explained that I needed to have them by end of week to look them over, so when at the follow up I would know what information I needed to ask about. I expressed my displeasure that we were getting a recommendation of surgery based on what may be inaccurate information, and that if I was not provided with her records by Friday, I would be looking to find a new pediatrician next year. This is very important because we didn't want to make any changes until after her surgery. The week goes by, no call, no history provided. We are called by a specialist and informed that she would need surgery sooner than expected because her condition is worse than they initially thought Monday morning I receive call, stating the records are ready and waiting. Only a day later than requested, and still enough time to review before her appointment in 2 days. She tells me Dr Albino has attached a cover letter for me to review. I was expecting it to possibly be an apology for taking so long with the records. When we got the records, the cover letter said that due to them not meeting the date I requested to get the records they were removing my 2 daughters from their care, and canceling all of their existing appointments. 2 days before my daughters 2 year check up and shots. We were not going to look elsewhere without speaking to her about our concerns. Dr Albino not only failed to show us the same courtesy, but dropped us by letter, and not in person. This is not the actions of someone who has the child's best interest at heart. She left us scrambling to find a new doctor, weeks before our daughter is going to need surgery without so much as a conversation."
"I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful pediatrician. Dr. Albino is so wonderful with my twins and treats all of us with dignity and respect. She goes above and beyond the expectations of most doctors and it is evident she truly CARES about her patients. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to send your children to her for medical care, do it. You won't regret your decision. Her nurses are wonderful as well. All around a Wonderful practice!!!"
