"I have suspicious swollen painless lymphnodes which have been swollen about a year. I went to a few doctors who wanted to remove my node. Anything can cause swollen lymphnodes so I didn't want to remove a lymphnode if its not cancerous. It would be unnecessary surgery. He suggested a pet ct scan first which made me relieved. If it is cancer then the Pet scan will light up. If it doesnt then i got saved from surgical removal. He agreed that he needs to find out with pet scan first since swollen nodes can be a non specific finding. Removal of lymphnodes can cause lymphedema so that is why i was cautious. He is very knowledgeable and listens to your concerns"
