Cancer Alliance Help & Hope

"I give 1 star only because it's sad to have the CEO, Stan, call and bark at me over a minor misunderstanding. It's like he was waiting for the day to go off on me. I was dealing with severe brain fog and depression from treatment at the time. He told me "we've helped you more than anyone else" which confused me because I'm a cancer patient and the grant is for cancer patients. I applied and was approved for a grant more than once so I guess that's what he meant. I didn't know applying more than once was an issue. It didn't state that anywhere on their application or website. I noticed the shadiness when I went to events from Stan not wanting to take a photo with me when I won a prize but was happy to take a photo with everyone else and questioning me asking if I really needed the prize and in line to pick up a turkey the lady took photos of everyone and completely skipped over me. This actually happened twice at 2 different events. I noticed their shadiness and energy towards me and to this day not one single apology. I'm also a black woman so I'm sure race played a part. Unfortunately my health has gotten worse and although I really need help I'd rather not deal with Cancer Alliance and keep my dignity."
