"My husband, Billy "Red" King, and I and our children, Christy, Stephanie, Billie Jean, Brandi, Jake and Sarah, met Dr. Simmons in March of 2023. Red was starting radiation treatments for his brain and lungs due to being diagnosed with Stage IV Non Small Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer with Dr. Simmons as his Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Simmons and his staff went above and beyond for Red and accommodating all of us known affectionately as "his Posse". Dr. Simmons is genuine, compassionate, devoted, honest, sincere, forth coming, caring and loving in all aspects of providing exceptional treatment. He literally became a part of our family during Red's treatments and remains a part of it after his death. Dr. Simmons is truly God sent to help his patients and their family navigate during difficult and unknown areas throughout their treatment regimen. As a family, we will never truly be able to put into words how special Dr. Simmons is to all of us! In big ways and small ways he made all the difference during our time of loss. He is the absolute complete example of what a compassionate caring doctor should be!
