CMX Lakeside Village 18 & IMAX 1650 Town Center Drive, Lakeland, FL 33803

"I don't normally leave reviews, especially a bad review, but I feel compelled to share my experience. Mainly because the cinema is bringing down the value of all of the nice restaurants and businesses around it. This is such a great area, but this theater is in dire need of a revamp. I was told a year ago that they were going to do some upgrading and add recliner seats. So I have been patiently waiting for that to happen and have been going to Lakeland Square Mall where they have the nice comfortable chairs. At Lakeside village cinemas, I was told again tonight that they will be upgrading, but nobody knows when. I decided to go watch a movie there this evening even though the seats are not that comfortable. Only because the movie I wanted to watch was no longer playing at Lakeland Square Mall. When I walked into the restroom, it was so disgusting that I had to hold my breath and be careful not to touch anything. It smelled like someone had peed all over the floor. Most all of the toilets were clogged up, and some nasty fingerprints were smeared all over the walls. When I walked to the theater, I noticed that all of the carpet was disgusting. You can tell it has not been cleaned in a really long time, and it's in every area, whether it's in the hallway or in the theater itself. You can smell the nasty. When I walked inside the theater to watch the movie I was a little early and it was very awkward because it was dark and quiet with very little lighting, so I went back out and waited on the bench until they finally put something on the screen, so it didn't feel so awkward. They did not do that until the movie started. Inside the theater, when I sat down, it smelled awful. There was sticky residue on the chairs and the arms. I didn't want to touch anything, and to top it all off, I almost immediately started itching from bites from either fleas or mites or spiders. I'm not sure, but whenever I got home later in the evening, I had little bite marks all over my arms and legs. It was such an awful experience that I will not return until they have made some changes. That particular area is upscale and nice, and if the theater can match up to the businesses around it, then it will draw a lot of customers. As of now, nobody is coming. The movie I watched tonight only had six people inside the theater. If they don't make some changes soon, I don't think they're going to be able to keep their doors open much longer."

"I’m not sure what has happened but this theater has gone down hill. Before it was CMX it was clean and a joy to visit. They did away with all the smaller snack foods and want you to buy large portions combos for $15.99 and up, not everyone wants that much food. Definitely needs more options. The time before today they played the wrong movie and my husband had to find a manager. Today everything was dirty. Popcorn and trash on all the floors. The floor in the theater was dirty and sticky. Couldn’t throw our trash away in the trash can inside the theater because it was so full. The bathroom was very dirty as well. Very disappointed how much this theater has gone downhill."

"I love that they have 1/2 priced tickets all day on Tuesdays. However, as with all movie theaters, the concessions are not worth the astronomical prices. I suggest you eat before you go. It's $7 for a Senior special which is a small drink and a small popcorn, I assure you of which neither is worth $3.50."

"I do not like how low the chairs are. But it was nice comfy feeling it was hotter than any other theatre I’ve ever gone too that was surprisingly awkward. The concession area was very dirty and they were trying to get it clean but the food choices were limited and too high for he quality. But the staff was amazing"

"Nice theater. Clean. Comfortable seats with drink holders. Snacks were reasonably priced. Also, arcade style games in lobby."
