"**UPDATE** DON’T USE HER - completely unprofessional in my opinion. After seeing Dr. Bassaly for over 6 years (4 surgeries) she changed offices. Everything was going fine until they became short staffed. My messages were ignored, my requests for appointments ignored. Finally received responses and multiple apologies from the office stating they were understaffed and would be hiring new people soon. I had 3 appointments scheduled in 2023. (1) canceled due to the hurricane (1) I never knew about because they forgot to tell me about it being made without my knowledge. They apologized for this. Keeping in mind 2021 I lost my daughter to suicide 2022 I had an early emergency delivery of my baby ENTER the new staff: (1) I had to cancel due to my baby being sick (1) THEY canceled when they decided to drop me as a patient. The NEW office manager who told me she had been there a full 4 months ignored what I told her - that I only canceled 1 - she informed me that I had over 6 missed appointments - completely false. Their own release letter stated 3. (this manager was extremely rude to me and my wife - didn’t care about anything told me the doctor decided that I needed to see someone else closer). I was in tears begging to keep my appointment. They refused. I even wrote a letter explaining to Dr. Bassaly which was ignored. We did one emergency call and Dr. Bassaly was extremely rude, short and uncaring sounding. Something she had NEVER been before. Didn’t appear to care at all about my needs for supplies. They gave me 30 days knowing that I couldn’t get in with another specialist for months. They also were aware that I had to go back to USF which is where she is from - AND it’s further away than she is AND I have to start all over again with a new doctor now. Left me hanging - wouldn’t renew my prescription for medical equipment I require 4x a day, wouldn’t help by sending over their notes, refused to refill my tests and uti medication. Left me completely hanging despite the ER not knowing what to do for my UTI that was severe and told me to contact them. I don’t know what happened but I would NEVER recommend her after what she put me through. I have seen Dr. Bassaly for about 4 years and she is just wonderful!! Takes the time to answer questions, provide her thoughts and recommendations and then asks me what I think. I would highly recommend her, she gave me hope after I went to 6 previous urologists and NEVER received any help."
"I’m still in shock at how terribly I’ve been treated by this office. I first made my appointment in October 2022 and it was for early January. Unfortunately I got Covid and had to reschedule my appointment. I called the scheduling department and rescheduled for the earliest available which was late February. At this point I have waited 4 months to see Dr. Bassaly. Late the night before my appointment I received a text saying my appointment was cancelled, and that I needed to call to reschedule. No courtesy call from the office or explanation. When I called they told me my appointment was cancelled by the doctor because it was the wrong type of appointment, and that I couldn’t get in again until late April. Are you kidding me? I had already hired a babysitter for my little one for this appointment, so I was pretty upset. I told the scheduler I’d like the office to call me back so I could speak to them directly. I waited a week and no call. I called again and asked them to call me back. Nothing. I can’t reach the office directly, so this was my only option. My husband is a surgeon so I am usually pretty understanding with these things, but honestly I’ve never seen treatment like this. I really hope they can make it right but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they care. I’ve heard great things about Dr. Bassaly from some friends and my gynecologist, but unfortunately I haven’t been given the chance to see her."
"Dr. Bassaly and Jessica King, NP are two of the nicest and most thorough medical professionals I have ever been to. I am a patient t that has A LOT of questions and they are always kind to answer all of them in person or by patient portal. The office staff is kind and caring as well. As much as someone doesn't want to have to go to the doctor, this is at least a very pleasant experience. I thank them for their help, guidance and kindness."
"This is a physician that looks you in the eye when she speaks to you. She listens, really listens, when you speak to her. She asks intuitive questions and is thorough. She is Board Certified. FACT: In Florida doctors do not have to take continuing education courses. They don't have to seek out and learn the most up to date treatments. In other words, they don't have to be Board Certified I was told. Ask your doctor if they are board certified. Dr. Bassaly IS Board Certified. She is kind, caring, and clearly communicates. Her staff, also, is exceptional. They are kind and thorough."
"Staff is very friendly, professional. I was a bit nervous. Staff were very calming. Dr. Bassaly is very kind, caring, professional. I appreciate and respect that she answered questions and took me at my word "just don't sugarcoat and be blunt." She was Not Blunt. I am so BLESSED with her as my DR. I would highly recommend her and this staff! Debra"
