"As others have stated, Dr Gearity is rude, inconsiderate and does not take time to explain things or answer questions. I would go as far as to say he is condescending and I would not recommend him or his practice to anyone. The other doctors and nurse practioners I have seen were fine but the practice itself seems unorganized. Long wait times, they are constantly rescheduling me and their communication is terrible."

"After spending 15 minutes on the phone with Maria, somebody who answers the phone to make appointments. She was not able to answer any questions I had about doctors that could help me with my endometriosis. I had to beg her the entire time to help me narrow down, which doctor would best fit my needs out of the 10 doctors they had, she refused, kept telling me to go online. She finally transferred me over to the Office manager. Who when I asked if any of the doctors were board-certified Or had more specialty handling endometriosis told me she was not sure of the qualifications of the doctors in the practice, which was very alarming. I ended up not coming here due to the stuff being uneducated on the place they worked."

"****PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT WITH DOCTOR GEARITY**** Dr. Gearity has absolute no bedside manners nor empathy for patients, he will not even take the time to properly great you when he enters the room. Throughout the whole appointment was I provided with no medical guidance or clarity. Upon asking about a medication I had heard about his response was "that hurts more but you want that fine." Rather than educating patients on pros and cons about medications or even giving his medical opinion on why he prefers one medication over the other he simply just dismissed my questioning, He is reply came of very narcissistic - how dare I question him or the medication I was prescribed? During my appt I even brought up a medication that was prescribed to me by my previous gyno (I had even listed this medication on my paperwork). When I asked for the refill he quickly became confused as to why I would be asking for the medication in his clinic as he does not prescribed it. He was quick to referral to me to a facility clinic if I wanted to receive any more refills. When I asked if he would be providing me with a referral he said; "I dont have to do anything you will need to call the clinic on your own time". Which nonetheless is very understandable but the statement was said with such coldness. If I could give him less than one star I would, he will make you feel discouraged to ask ANY questions to your healthcare - please do not waste your time in coming here. Please fear all healthcare providers that have no empathy for others"

"I have been a patient of Dr. Gearity over 20 plus years now and very disappointed that patient care is not a top priority at this office. Been out of my RX over 2 to 3 months, Nurse does not return phone messages, Ignores the Pharmacies request to refill RX , I can never reach a live person when I call and my last visit waited over an hour 1/2. Sadly to say, but this is not ok and very unprofessional on all Staff. Will be seeking another Provider."

Unfortunately, I was met with a lack of empathy, coldness, and downright narcissism during my visit. I want to share my experience with others to shed light on the importance of compassionate medical care. From the very beginning, Dr. Gearity failed to show any empathy towards my condition. Instead of offering support or understanding, he oddly congratulated me when giving me my diagnostic results, as if he thought it was a good thing. This left me feeling confused and invalidated, especially considering the severity of my chronic pain. When I expressed my desire to learn more about my condition, I was met with dismissiveness and sarcasm.Dr. Gearity mockingly suggested I consult "Dr. Google" to gather information, which was both unprofessional and unhelpful. As a patient seeking guidance, I expected my doctor to provide reliable resources or explain the next steps for me to take, rather than belittling my efforts to educate myself. Most concerning to me was Dr. Gearity’s evident lack of empathy, kindness, and understanding towards his patients. These qualities are not only desirable but essential in a medical professional, especially in a field that deals with conditions causing chronic pain. His indifference and inability to connect on a human level cast doubt on his suitability for a profession that demands these crucial traits. As someone who has experienced firsthand the importance of compassionate care, I strongly urge others to consider this review before choosing Dr. Gearity as their healthcare provider. As patients, we deserve medical professionals who treat us with respect, empathy, and competence. It is unfortunate that my encounter with Dr. Gearty did not meet these basic expectations. I hope sharing my experience will not only serve as a cautionary tale but also encourage Dr. Gearity to reflect on his approach to patient care.
